Peed on a stick. I waited as long as I could between pees, which was about 3 hrs, at which time I thought my bladder would explode.
Two pink lines!
I'm kind of in disbelief right now. I thought for sure when I started spotting last night it was going to be 'try again next month.' Haven't had any spotting all day though! Gonna call my midwife in the morning to get a blood test confirmation. Sorry Playground, you're stuck with me now!!
And as a courtesy, those of you who are friends with me on other internet mediums like "facebook" and "other boards" - if you could please refrain from saying anything, Mr. Rabidchild and I would very much appreciate it. We're not going to tell our families until I get some a-ok confirmation from the midwife, not going to tell other people until 2nd trimester, and are going to try to keep it off Facebook as long as humanly possible.
heh, rabidbaby.

Yay! Congrats!
Same thing happened to me in very early pregnancy-- light spotting, so I expected my period, but it didn't come and I took a pregnancy test.

Since I very rarely spot during my luteal phase, I knew something was up and I took a pregnancy test. I've only ever spotted the day before a full blown period, so spotting last night, and no period today? That's new.

Whee! Congratulations! I was reading the conception thread and your experience the last couple days was pretty much exactly the same as my "Am I? No. Maybe?" days before I had a positive test, so I was really hopeful for you. Yay!

Tofulish wrote: Congratulations! You just started trying in July right? Very efficient! Thanks! Actually... this was our first month. I've been charting for 5. This sort of adds to me being stunned. We were expecting 3-6 months of trying. Sooooo.. mild cramps.. is this ok? I've been having them for over a week. They feel like really weak menstrual cramps, with occasional sharp pains. My logical brain says "It's fine your uterus is stretching" and my emotional brain says "Nooo you're getting your period!!!"

Congrats! I felt like I was going to start my period (crampy, bloated, etc.) for the first two weeks or so...I think it is all the progesterone. Every time I went to the bathroom I was nervous.
I'm so excited for you, and Mr. RC.

I think the title more reflects the fact that I'm kind of shocked numb atm. It is very surreal. Like "That couldn't've worked... could it?"
