Ok, so I have the camelback water bottles and I love them, but I need more and I think I may want either stainless steel or glass. Since we are moving to a place where it is regularly 115* I kind of am worried about grey drinking from something plastic, especially if it has been out in the sun. (Am I crazy? Is this a legitimate concern or have I been brainwashed by the hippies? Vantine?)
Will a stainless steel container get too hot? I have yet to find a decent glass bottle. We have a life factory one and you either leave the leak guard in and it is impossible to get water out or you take it out and it leaks all over. I like the straw action of most water bottles, they seem least likely to spill.
Anyone have any favorites? Oh and we have the safe sippy too and they leak and the one got corroded or something on the inside.

The Emperor loves his little kleen kanteen. We've had it in fairly hot environments and the metal doesn't get too hot-- but the water gets warm to the point that it bothers me.
Kleen Kanteen sells all sorts of adapters and crepe, so if he still wants a sippy top or whatever, there are options for that!
(Tempe! I lived there for a summer a lifetime ago!)

Inez has a little Kleen Kanteen that's been good for us, too. We do use a lot of plastic straw bottles, too, but sun is not really a factor for us most of the time, ha.

Oh, phooey -- I was going to recommend Kerplunk, but they seem to only do adult ones now.
I prefer stainless steel to glass. It's lighter and I didn't have to worry about it breaking every time I dropped it (or the bag it was in -- I used to carry around a Grolsch-style bottle with a swing-top cap and after dropping my bag a few times, ditched the glass for steel; not everybody is as clumsy as I am, mind you, but my steel canteens are much lighter).
