that's a good point. i hadnt thought of that. maybe that's it.

i guess ill have to see if it evens out and goes back to normal.

dr google is telling me that excessive pain, excessive bleeding, and bleeding in between cycles are the main things to look out for and i dont have those thankfully.

of course i canceled my yearly OB appt a few weeks ago because i didnt think it was necessary.

derp

Did anyone's period come back postpartum, and then vanish again?

I had a period last month at about six months postpartum (six months minus six days!) but now I have not had one yet this month, should have come maybe a week ago. WEIRD.

Does pumping vs nursing make a difference? I was back to work (so, pumping, very little nursing during the day bc I was not with her) from 4 months to just over 5 months, and now I have been home again since 5 months.

Bodies are amazing (made babies!) but also super weird (period, what is your deal??).

It seems for most people that pumping doesn't keep a period away as long as nursing does. That is totally unscientific information I gathered from the exclusive pumping community I was a part of. So maybe when you started nursing again it readjusted your hormones.

Thanks annasrobbie, I was wondering if that was part of it. Turns out though that apparently the period is like that old urban legend about Bloody Mary, or beetle juice - thinking about it/saying it makes it appear. Hahaha. Started later the same night I posted! :P Well at least I can stop wondering.

I had almost 90 days between my first and second post-partum period this time around. It took a long time for them to settle.
