Ha. I love how Andy is the only one both smiling and looking at the camera in that group picture.

We had fun! Ada somehow had sand in her diaper when we got home despite the fact that we changed her twice after the playground. I think everyone was ready for a nap by the end. It was so nice to finally meet you Audrey! Oh, and I might steal your family pic of us Tofulish.

Butternut, thank you so much for the recommendation! Peacefoods was so perfect -they were really kidfriendly, the location had enough space for strollers, the bathrooms were large and clean, they had plenty of highchairs and a separate kids menu. Leela loved the chickpea fries and cookies. Brett doesn't normally like seitan, but he loved the seitan panini that we split - which had a wonderful pesto on it. Sadly L hit the wall before we could get cake, but their cakes looked amazing. We would definitely go there again!

we had SO much fun! I'm really glad we did it, it was super to meet all of you. Leela and Ada are impossibly as cute in person as in photo - as are their parents!
I couldn't believe how nice they were to us at Peacefood (I mean, everyone was really well-behaved anyway, but I feel like encountering such posi attitudes when a group walks in with kids is unusual and worth mentioning.)

I mentioned this earlier in this thread but a really amazing hand-built playspace opened over in Williamsburg pretty near to us. It's $25 for 1 kid + 1 adult which is really expensive BUT we're totally going, probably next weekend since it's almost D's bday. If any of you folks feel like going hit me up!

Maybe! We have a car this weekend but also have a bunch of stuff that we need to get done since we don't often have a free car to use. If we were able to, it would probably be Saturday morning. Let me figure out what we actually need to do and where. I also really want to go to the botanic garden because the cherry blossoms will be at peak by then!

ah yes we were talking about the Garden too...we went around this time last year and our friend/downstairs neighbor works there and totally took us behind the scenes etc. But we'd probably do the playspace thing next weekend; I know it's a pain in the asparagus for you guys to get to that area without a car though (silly Brooklyn!)

We went to the Brooklyn botanical gardens last weekend and it was beautiful! Crowded, but beautiful. It's a good time to go. I'm going to the one one the Bronx for work tomorrow, so I hope that's nice too.

Depends on what works for others! A Sunday in the park would be lovely!

I know Augusts are not great for you JENNA, but if you're up for a trip, I'd happily go in with you either to Lulas and/or to Jersey City for Cinnamon Snail and the Splash Park.

We'd love to whenever everyone else is available. Andy will be flying out for interviews in SF at some point in the next two weeks, just not sure what days yet.

I can weekdays or weekends until sept. Sometime in the next two weeks would be perfect. It's been so long!

Thursdays are not great; we have swimming but it still might work.

Okay so sashi and JENNA let us know if there is a day that works! I would love to see everyone!

I actually don't have music on 8/20 and know that Tuesdays are the one weekday that work for Ariann. But maybe that is getting too close to the end of the school vacation?

We really won't know what days work until the middle of the week. He's trying to coordinate interviews so he doesn't have to fly out more than once. So maybe next Sunday or Tuesday? Sorry I can't be more sure yet. Tomorrow works but that's probably a little short notice for everyone.

We can't do tomorrow, but could do next Sunday! And of course, its all subject to interviews and all that stuff (how exciting!). Its kind of amazing to think that you could be moving to California before the end of the year!

We might be able to do a Sunday. I'll check and see. August is so insanely busy for us but I'd love to hang out with all of you in NYC. Miles's new thing to do is point to NYC when we are driving and say "city!" "new city!"
