Sounds awesome! And that way rentaghost and Ariann can come too!

We might be better by Saturday if people still do meet - I had cupping done today and I feel back to normal. So weird!

I have been struggling with the WORST cold. I swear I've been calling it satan's cold, so Not doing this weekend is best for us. I'm not sure about the 27 yet.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see if 27th is happening. I'll go with the flow of whatever you guys plan.

Agh. We have a birthday party on the 27th now so we won't be able to do that day.

We're planning on going to Blythe Ann's (aka Lula's) this coming Sunday if anyone feels like joining us! It's supposed to be warm out so we'll probably end up playing in the water at the Thompkin's square playground before or after.

hey folks! this may be a more Brooklyn-specific thing (hi Butternut and sashi!) but I'm thinking about taking Dahlia to PuppetWorks, who are doing Sat and Sun performances for I think $7. Its for ages 3 and up though, but still, anyone interested?

I'd take Ada! I've been meaning to take her there (it's in our neighborhood) but the times never worked out when she was still taking naps. It looks like the next show has two weekends in July and one weekend in August.

Sounds fun to me if the dates work out. We are going to be out of town several weeks this summer. Babynut is 2.5 but I think she can pass for 3. A meetup is long overdue!

yes let's do it! It actually looks like there are shows each Sat and Sun, but some weeks are a 3-tale show and some are just Goldilocks. I can do pretty much any weekend except July 26-27. Any preference as to Sat or Sun?

Ohhh I see. In July we can only do Sundays but I think any of them would work.

We are out of town until July 12, so after that Sundays are good (we could do July 13). We are planning another trip, but I think it will be August.

Audrey, did you ever end up going to one of the PuppetWorks shows? I will probably be taking Ada to one of the January ones if anyone is interested in joining us.

I looked into it and think it's not going to work. Leela gets really floppy in the heat and it looks to be nearly 90F so I don't think it's the best option for us. We love CAS and when we go up we mostly hang with the animals in the early morning or right before dark (we stay at the Homestead). I think full on heat and crowds might be a recipe for disaster for us.

Hope you have a great time and we would love a meet up soon!

We were thinking of going and it's Malka's birthday so that'd be special but I know our family would not tolerate heat and crowds well and I don't really want to drive that far with Talya.

We'd love to go later in the fall, when it's colder and less crowded. PPK kid field trip?

Has everyone watched Sparrow Media's video interview with Jenny Brown? It is brilliant.

We are about 95% decided to go. I'm not thrilled about the heat but I think it will be a fun day trip for us.

aww I would love a sanctuary meet-up but we are definitely heat wimps...we were at Catskill a few weeks back and the girls just could not make it thru a whole tour in the sun. Bummer. I doubt we'll be headed upstate again this year BUT I would be into checking out that NJ sanctuary one of these weekends.

We will go to Skylands any day, but FYI there is no shade there, so it gets crazy hot. L could not make it through a tour. We are going to try again when it is cooler. Maybe we could plan a Jersey day? Skylands with their barbecue and then Verona Park for icecream at positivitea?
