This thread needs reviving! LittleMap is an early walker. 11 months and he's going great. I measured him to be a size 22 european, 6 toddler US size. The weather here is appalling. Rainy and windy all the time. I need to find a size 22 waterproof, vegan, light, flexible, easy first shoe. No problem, right? I checked out all the recommendations above. The boggs aren't water proof. Stonez break down very fast if they are actually used as outdoor shoes (but maybe that's our best option anyway?). What on earth do people do? There must be others living in a rainy windy climate with a walking baby who isn't yet a size 25. HELP!

The Boggs seemed very waterproof to us. They went through a lot of puddles!

Anyone try these vegan baby shoes? They seem cute and affordable: http://www.shupeas.com/shupeas-too/

"crib" shoes means the kind with no support on the bottom right? basically the ones that are really flexible for new walkers?

BabyPunk will be 22 months so i feel like she doesnt need those anymore?

im having a real hard time finding shoes that are not made out of leather/suede AND come small enough to fit her.
i need to get her a size 4 or 4.5 at the biggest

i was specifically looking at these:

they do come in toddler sizes which is why im confused.

looks like these are the hard soled version? they arent as cute.

haha Lisa believe it or not we are STILL having trouble finding hard-soled shoes that fit Sierra even though she's almost 3. Her feet have not grown at all in over a year, she's around a Toddler Size 5. We've done ok with Vans and Converse, Keens are also ok, and some Pumas - but not the hardsoled version of the ones Ariann mentioned - are synthetic...also generic canvas or rubber shoes from Old Navy and Gap.
