Better than that neck cheese they get as babies. :)
This morning, nursing Freya, she pops off after just s few seconds to say something and milk squirts right past her nose. This hasn't happened in ages, so she gives a funny look and then seems a bit hesitant to latch on again. I reassure her and then squirt a little milk on purpose, hoping she'll see it's ok. She seems convinced that all is well and goes on nursing. After a minute or so though, she stops again and signs/says "more". "More boobies?" She shakes head no, pats the boob and signs more again while shaking her head yes. Then the light bulb came on. "more squirting?" Big smile and shaking head yes.
Yep. Weird baby. :)

Yep. Weird baby. :) OMG, I forgot about the milk squirting!! Beetroot thought that was the funniest thing ever! When I first learned I could do that, I was standing in the bedroom, trying to see how far I could squirt and Mr. Crabby came in and was so mad. "You're going to get everything all sticky!" "But look, I can squirt this stuff over a meter!"

Why do they always end up at a 90 degree angle to us when they sleep. You put them in vertical and then boom! Horizontal. Probably guided by wee magnets in their heads or boobies. Weirdos!

Sat in front of a try of delicious steamed veggies for 30 minutes and just shoved them around the tray, not once trying to put any in his mouth. Upon being released from the highchair immediately whips off a sock and starts sucking on it like he it is THE BEST thing ever. Definitely weird.

L has not wanted a diaper on but at the same time hasn't been peeing or pooing in the potty. I got great advice to offer her a diaper or the potty. So I asked her "Diaper or potty?" And she grabbed the diaper, peed on the floor and used the diaper to wipe it up. I think she's smarter than me.

Raygold "pooped" twice today, except he didn't poop. But he stood there with his butt in the air for ages asking me to wipe his dingleberries. Eventually, he grabs a rag, wipes himself, and then reports to me, demanding I wipe him. Later, he did poop, but told me he "just peed" and then I notice an asparagus full of dingleberries while he is rolling across the room, all over the carpet, giggling at a TV show.

Lately Inez likes to have an audience while she takes her bath or shower. Usually it's a bunch of stuffed animals or her dad. Today it was a baggie of leftover tofu.

I'd have lol'd but I'm on the bus so instead I'm shaking with silent laughter and hoping nobody notices. Oh, kids, why you gotta be so funny?

That is awesome Pinko! Maybe she's practicing to be around baby #2. :)
I was just thinking of this thread a couple of days ago, but now it's slipped my mind, what I planned to post here. Still loving the "damn" though. Also very very interested in toe jam.

So there was an unsecured box of kleenex at floor level in baby music class (held in a yoga studio) today. Of course I'm nervous about it, but did not expect Violet to go grab single pieces of kleenex, run up to other kids in the class, and wipe their noses with it. Apparently I've given birth to the booger police.

Apparently I've given birth to the booger police. That is kind of awesome! Raygold asked for the hankie I keep tucked in my cleavage because Beetroot had "boogers and schmutz." And he decided to wipe Beet's butt after Beety pooped the other day...with the world's smallest piece of toilet paper. (It wasn't as messy as it sounds, and I was kind of laughing when Raygold said, "bend over, Beet, so I can wipe your poo butt!", but still...)

hahaha for us, anyone's butt (even while not actively pooping) is called a poopoo butt. Dahlia thinks its hilarious to make hers talk - she pulls her underpants down while we're getting dressed to go out and says stuff like "hellloooo poopoobutt, how did youuuu get upstairs?"

I must have slipped up around Beety a few too many times because the other day I went to wipe him and he said, "now you are gonna wipe my CRASSHOLE!" You could just see the delight in his face when he said crasshole, too.

Ada now thinks it's hysterical to tickle our butts. So she runs around going "tickle butt!" and then tries to tickle. So when I try to get dressed she tickles my butt. If I am sitting she goes behind me and tries to stick her hand down my pants to tickle my butt. Last night after her bath she tried to tickle her own butt and was laughing hysterically.

This afternoon Henry has alternated between walking around with a ball of crumpled paper pretending to eat it and licking my feet. Right now he's holding the drawstring of Papa's gym shorts and taking them for a walk around the living room.

Haha. :p
Freya has for awhile been into telling what we call "five word tales", stories of 4-7 words with some gaps filled in by us. One of her latest ones, after her vaccination last week goes something like this:
"Poke" "you got a poke?" "doctor" "not the doctor..." "nurse!" "you got a poke from the nurse" "tape...tape...tape" (tape over the cotton ball...very exciting for some reason) "she put some tape on your leg" "blood" (said with a dramatic voice" "there was some blood on the tape"
Now here's the weird part. Sometimes she'll say "bin" (as in, we put the tape in the bin), but twice she said "eat". I said "no, we didn't eat it". The second time, I just laughed. So now, I suspect because she knows it's funny, she will generally say "poke, nurse, tape, blood, eat". Um, yeah.

Ha! Freya. That's too funny.
So there is a tiny little green led light on this signal booster thing that's on the floor near our tv stand. Inez has recently become fascinated with it and wants to pet it when she wakes up and before going to bed. "Oh, I see Inez's friend green light! Hi, green light! I pet him? Mama, pet him! Green light so cute!" and she gently pets the light.
The petting things in general is pretty funny. She always asks to pet things that catch her eye, including planes overhead and particularly nice-looking strangers.

Hee. That is hilarious, Pinko. Freya doesn't say "touch" yet, so she says "pet" a lot.
