The high chair and walker we have been feeding L in are now no longer sufficient to contain her. She throws her weight back to try knock them over and its just not a fun situation. And allowing her to wander around with fistfuls of food is just a colossal mess.
I want to try a booster chair so she could sit with us, if anyone has any good ideas.

Thanks T! Leela just emptied a bag of tortilla chips on the floor and peed all over them. So I feel like we need a booster seat. Either that or baby litter.

We have this, and it works pretty well: http://www.amazon.com/Graco-Blossom-Boo ... B002TUTQMM Note that you can't put it on a dining chair with arms. For going out/travelling/backup/outside/visiting toddlers/whatever, we have this and it's great but you need a bag that fits a fairly stiff ~1'x1' square if you want to carry it around inside a bag: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004L2JJ6O/ref ... 1_ST1_dp_4Very happy with both purchases. I don't generally believe in going to restaurants with a baby that don't have booster/high chair seats already, because it's often a good indication that they don't want V there, but we've used our travel one in hotels and also a couple of very casual restaurants with other little kids present where we didn't want to bother anybody to find out if they had boosters etc. It only takes ~30 seconds to set up and works great.

We have a vintage booster from the 70's, Matt sat in it at his grandmas when he was little! But it doesn't have any kind if fasteners so it didn't contain Silas ever. He used it all of the time once he was old enough to sit still at mealtime. We did high chair for a really long time when he was in his wild stage because it was sturdy and the only thing that he was comfy in that also kept him in one place and focused on eating.
