Basically I have tried to pull my mom and daughter away from the darkside and bombard them with all the wonderful reasons why they should try a vegan diet.
Yet my daughter insists that between vegan food being too expensive and her lack of time and desire to cook she cannot possibly be vegan even if she wanted to.
My mother claims they just don't have that kind of food where she lives out in the middle of no where.

Any suggestions?

Not to be a gloomy gus, but it sounds like they don't want to be reached right now.

They're all excuses, excuses, excuses.

I don't know where your mom lives or what's actually available to her, but if you daughter doesn't want to spend money or cook, veganism probably isn't for her right now.

I think sometimes all you can do is show how awesome you are doing. Let them observe your lifestyle. It might spark their interest.

+1 yummy.
there's only so much you can do, even though you might feel extra guilty about your daughter not being vegan. it's a choice we make for ourselves. it is supercool when someone tells you they went vegan because of you, or even makes better choices as a result of knowing you. But that doesn't always happen, and it's no judgment on you.

try to keep cool. i used to get PO1d in this situation (influencing the kid) but they mean well, deep down somewhere.
