Tofulish, I'm brand new to this site (well, officially...I've been nicking recipe ideas for ages :p), so I haven't read the whole thread yet. came here looking for a forum about vegan pregnancy, as hubby and I are now expecting baby #1. (yay!)

Did you say in the thread earlier that you did have PCO/S? I discovered this about myself when we started scans/investigations about 3 years ago. Diet didn't do the trick for me. Tried 2 rounds of Clomid as well...nada (and horrible headaches). Later however, I started seeing an acupuncturist who has a particular interest in fertility issues, and taking Metformin. The two of them have worked well together. We were actually scheduled to go this month to start treatment for IVF at a place that does it virtually drug free (just one shot), when lo and behold a BFP appeared at the beginning of March.

Anyway, just wanted to say, for the PCO gals that Metformin has worked well for me, and a couple of other people I know from another baby-related forum. After 24 years of watching what I eat, herbal remedies, birth control pills of various forms..at last I feel a bit like a "normal" woman. I don't know what I'll do after the bean is born, but I can't recommend it enough.

Congratulations refinnej!

I hope your pregnancy goes well and that you're able to find a way to manage the PCOS post-bean!
