So I've only glanced through the last few pages but I get the impression that the majority of you parental units have fairly young vegan kids - does that seem accurate?

My oldest is now 15 - which is the age I was when I went Vegan! Her sisters are 12 & 10. All 3 were vegan from day 1 as both their mama ( my ex, if anyones taking notes ;-p ) and I were vegans already. Is that true for most of y'all too?

Try #2! :)
How many of y'all have kids that are 10 or older? Are your kids Vegan since birth? I am mostly just curious & it's also nice to connect with other parents whose kids are of similare ages.

There's a stickied thread for (complaining about) teens & tweens. Fewer older kids than little ones, but there are some!

Love the peekaboo! Does Leela know how to blow the dandelions? We've only had seedy ones for about a week, but darned if I can get F to do it. She says/signs "mom...flower...again" over and over. Heh.

She can't! In swim class we learned that its only at around 21 months that they start being able to blow bubbles, so I assume that L just doesn't have the skill either. She signs flower too :) And then tries to blow but ends up with dandelion on her face. Its amazingly sweet.

Raising children really makes you revisit the wonder of childhood, except now instead of it being just the wonder of the dandelions, its also the wonder at watching them discover it as well. Moves me to tears <3

Aw, Leela! Those are great. Her face looks so much less baby-like in the peekaboo one - like you can start to get a little glimpse of big-girl Leela.

We don't typically chat much in this thread for whatever reason, but there are several parents of kids 10 and up who post a lot in the Playground. And I know at least a few of those kids have been vegan since birth (and lots - if not most - of the littles have been).

Crabby, it took me several times of looking at your birthday pics to realise Raygold had no pants on [I guess I should just expect that by now, huh? ; ) ] Looks like an awesome birthday!

Babynut and a fist full of chickpea cutlets is the best!!

I love Will tottering up the driveway, so cute!

Good fork-work, Magician! [hehe]

BabyPunk really is gorgeous! So teeny, and so beautiful!

Nice haircut, Sam!

oh, and Leela and the dandelion, just amazing!

Here's a rosy-cheeked smile from Westiebaby at a bit over four months old:

Kfad, that river excursion looks like SO much fun! Are those your secondborn child and youngest daughter respectively?

Yep. Almost 16 and 12. And they are both vegetarian (and eat only vegan at home).

I can't get a picture of the oldest as he is never home anymore. :)

She looks a LOT like Beetroot when he was a baby! And people are always telling me what a beautiful girl he is, so I'm not dissing your kid for looking like Beety.

I love all the Mother's Day pictures! Why didn't it occur to me to take a picture with my kid yesterday? Duh.

Oh, and Inez has that same shirt Violet is wearing.

I wanted a picture yesterday too and didn't get one. :(
It did occur to me, it just didn't work out. In fact, that was what I asked for when my husband asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day. Anyway, we are going to schedule a photo shoot. But it's still not the same.

I love the idea of Mother's Day pictures!

We went to Rutgers Gardens, where the rhododendrons are in bloom and also explored the Bamboo Forest
