Also toward the end you'll be like OMG BABY STOP MOVING AROUND SO MUCH and laugh at the time that you were sad that you didn't feel it more. Or at least that was my experience!

Yes. I am at that stage now. XD The movement is reassuring, but sometimes it is a bit too much. Digging? What are you digging for? OMG, do NOT kick my bladder! Leave my colon alone! No, you can't burst out of me Alien style so please stop trying.

Thank you everyone. You made me feel a lot better. <3

Yes, I enjoy the occasional bubbling, but the constant distorting tummy and pressure on organs? I do not look forward to that. No shame. Haha.

i also had an anterior placenta and did not feel tons of movement because of it. my husband i dont think got to feel BP from the outside much at all.

in the beginning its hard to tell if it's the baby or just some random internal stuff. bubbling or fizziness is a good way to describe it.

i never had the alien arm going across my belly like some people do (late in pregnancy) i also was very small through my entire pregnancy. everyone's body is TOTALLY different. a lot of people just one day pop and you go from looking like you normally do and then the next day it's like OMG PREGNANT

I felt movement on the inside for probably 2 months before I could feel it with my hand:) And now, they move so much and so strongly that I am forever having pep talks with my stomach. "Just settle down in there, I really don't want to pee my pants in this meeting."
I am 34 weeks tomorrow and my last shift at work is on Friday.
The beans are being evicted on the 26th of October if they haven't exited on their own yet. I can't wait! I have turned into a cartoon version of myself that topples over with the weight of my own stomach.
Good luck TCC and everyone else!

Teapot, please post a preggo photo! <3

I love my midwives!
Midwife 1: Are you keeping well? You must be, you look fantastic. Doesn't she look amazing?
Midwife 2: She looks amazing. You look amazing!
Me: Thanks, I could go into labour at any time! I need to look my best. *wink*
Midwife 2: You need to go into labour RIGHT NOW!
:D

The baby is SO LOW the midwife was, like, "WHOA!" when she felt around. I was, like, "I know, right?" Apparently the baby's head is as engaged as it can get and there's nowhere to go but down.

PSA: When you're 39 weeks pregnant and the baby's head is as engaged as it can get and you drop something, just leave it. It's gone, man.

WHOA TCC, you look awesome! And I love your line about dropping stuff!

You're a strong contender for last baby born on the PPK! Maybe we need to do a betting pool ;)

Okay, you know how occasionally you hear people say they were in labor for days before they have their baby? I know how they feel -- for the last 24+ hours, since the baby's head is SO engaged in my pelvis whenever he moves his head or shoulders, it cramps up my whole abdomen and hurts as badly as a contraction and feels very much like a contraction, but without the tightening. Actually, worse than light contractions because in the last 90 mins, I've had 3 strong 60-second proper contractions (followed by a wimpy one and then nothing) and they were less painful than the baby moving around has been.

I have been grouchy all day (so has my husband, we are like The Hound and Arya Stark sometimes), but started uncharacteristically flipping out on my kids while I was taking apart a desk to throw away (what you don't disassemble metal desks when you're days from your due date?) and was all carnally angry like, "Get back! I need my space! You're too close to me! Raaaaa!" Then I told my husband he had to do it himself while I directed him (I have the DIY gene, he does not) and I was trying to explain which way to turn the wrench and finally, I was all, "You just forking figure it out, raaaaaaa!" in the middle of the first of the 3 proper contractions.

Guys, I haven't had a proper contraction in an hour, but I have NEVER been so happy for labour to possibly be starting. Who thought contractions would be such a relief!? Now I am just sitting around waiting for another. And eating. Pity I can't have vegan ice cream delivered because that's my random craving.

Also, my preggo hair, which has really outdone itself this time, is SO HUGE, my husband says it's kind of unnerving because I look like a different woman. Haha!

False alarm! Dang it. XD

I had, like, one more contraction an hour or so later and then nothing. Well, poop.

I looked up some "early labour" positions and found that child's pose works really nicely for when the baby is getting all fidgety and making me all sore, so it wasn't a total write-off. :D

Also, our kettle is broken and we're out of bread. Mr. Crabby doesn't want to take all 3 kids to the shops (an admittedly long haul considering where we live) and I am not up to 3+ hours of public transport and a mile or two of waddling.

Not entirely a false alarm! Labor kicked off for real at 4am!

It was a short (4h 25m), easy, and straightforward labour and delivery. I was in the birthing centre for under an hour before he came out and peed all over the midwife. We've been home since last night.

I have a name for him, but I've been calling him Emporio Tomato because he looked like an ugly angry tomato for a few hours. Cross-posted on the fb group.

I just took my first postnatal shiitake and I feel so good. I was, like, thank fork the shiitake is finally ready to come out. So now there is room to eat more, too.
