So nausea has really kicked in over the last several days. Luckily no vomiting, but I am such a wimp that I just feel incapacitated with the all day nausea. I have been taking vitamin B6 at bedtime, but I just read it is recommended three times a day so I will try that and see if it helps. The gingerale and crackers which seemed so helpful last go round seem totally unhelpful now! I feel like such a big complainer because I know so many women have it worse then I do...but I feel miserable! I am dreading going back to work on monday :( I read somewhere that sniffing citrus is helpful - I don't have any on hand, but I might give it a try... Oh the woe.

I bought the EMAB happy mama spray, and it helped a bit. I think it's lime, orange, lemon, ginger and a few other things. Also, lime in my water helped. I have been drinking juice and Gatorade like never before. Plain water just gurgles in my tummy.

Have you tried peppermint tea or mint candies? EB and bread has been helpful for me, ice cream and greasy food have also been surprisingly safe foods. I hope I get over that and back to fresh fruit and veggies soon!

Thanks for the suggestions and kind words ladies. I am going shopping today and will pick up some things to try like peppermints and lemon candies. I might check out the Happy spray too - I am not sure where I would buy that around here though - maybe the health food store? I have a friend who swears by this magnesium drink supplement - she didn't know if it was vegan or not but I am going to go to the health food store and check it out today.

I'm pretty sure Target sells the Earth Mama Angel Baby products! Morning sickness really sucks! Sorry you're dealing with it.

So many vegan babes on the way.

I;m 27 weeks now and struggling with lots of hip pain. I wish i could go to the chiropractor, but, my hub works for the federal gov, so until we get through this d()*&(& shutdown and pay for the midwife, and my son's preschool, its not going to happen.

So sorry, jildez! I get hip pain pretty fierce when I'm pregnant and for the first few weeks afterward. The waddling! The cramping! So, so sorry.

thanks, crabby, i have a hip flexor that is permanently messed up, so i need help with keeping my hip joint in the socket on the normal, but the loosening of pregnancy makes it worse.

I had the first semester screening (just u/s and blood work) done on Monday, but no results yet. The tech said they look for the nuchal fold to be less than 3mm and baby's was 1.2. I know it's not a perfect predictor, but that's all I really wanted to know. I still think it's so crazy to watch baby kick and flip during and u/s and not feel a thing!

In other news, I am 12 weeks as of yesterday. Nausea is really getting better, but I still can't tolerate plain water.

My first appointment finally arrived! Ultrasound went great and we saw baby bean with a little fluttery fast heartbeat. She measured right on track for when my LMP estimated my "due" date on 5/15. It was so lovely to see my midwife again too - I love her!

Exciting, annasrobbie!

I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and I feeeeeeeeeel it. Ugh. I've been cooking/prepping a ton of food to freeze and trying to get some last minute projects done. My mom - our only real option for watching Inez when I have the baby - is out of town until Saturday. So my number one goal for this week is to NOT have a baby.

Congrats annasrobbie! And ha, pinko, good luck with not having a baby! I would suggest not being too active, but not too relaxed. Don't touch those acupressure points in your ankles, and don't accidentally have sex or drink castor oil.

Oh and don't go jumping up and down Pinko. I swear me hopping like a bunny and dancing with Ada made me go into labor the next morning ;-) I hope you're as comfortable as you can be at this point and you're finding some time to relax!

On the home stretch Pinko! Did you deliver Inez early? Hope your baby keeps cooking a little longer!

Finally met the midwife today. There are 3 in the practice, so I'll probably try to see all three. Everything was good, baby's heartbeat was 173. Will came along and wooed everyone in his path!

Last week we got the results of the first trimester screen, which was "reduced risk," so that was good news.

Annasrobbie, glad your first appt went well!

Pinko, hope #2 hangs on through the weekend !

Pinko, eat good food from now until you pop, so you don't end up having gross food burps during the first few hours of your labour like I did with my Beety labour. ;D

So excited for everyone in this thread!!!

Two pieces of information (and please to those of you who know me IRL no mention of either on facebook yet!):

- Euclid the Embryo has been advanced into the pipeline and should make an appearance sometime around June 9.

- My husband has very tentative verbal orders to a job in Italy, which would put our move right before that. (There may be some flexibility there since his replacement gets here much earlier, but it's still so early we don't want to make a big deal of it yet and there's time to figure it out because dream job!)
