I had to go bra shopping today. OMG, I didn't know my boobs had gotten so big. I am a 34D now and I am only 12 weeks. Will they keep getting bigger or have they kind of leveled out now?

Everybody's different. I went up two sizes the first trimester, leveled off, and then after the baby got here I grew even more. Buy a few bras for pregnancy and have a couple more in larger sizes, but don't take the tags off until you know what you need. I like the bravado double plus, it's super supportive and comfy. It even comes in leopard print ;)

Today is my due date! I remember hearing "January 2nd" at my 10-week ultrasound and thinking it was forever away and now it's here. Crazy!

I was going to edit my first post to add this, but I'm too slow. So instead I'll be all "Loooook at meeeee!!!" We went to a wedding on New Year's Eve, but forgot to take pictures at the actual event. So here's me and my belleh in my messy "dining room" (aka moving box staging area) in the first wee hours of 2011: Probably my last belly picture, for a grand total of something like four. I hope I'm better at documenting the kid than I was at documenting the pregnancy: "Here you are when you were born, and here's your third birthday party. Oh, and look! Eighth grade graduation! Uh, that's all I've got."

Not that I've ever been pregnant, but I'm impressed that you are wearing heels while 9 months pregnant.

You look like you still feel good. Congratulations on making it to your due date (I'm jealous)!
Did you paint your dining room gray? I like it!

Not necessarily ones I'd choose, but nothing really awful. It's nice because I don't feel like I have to paint right away. I want to do the baby's room, but that's about it.

oh, pinko! you look so lovely. ready to meet that baby yet?
i'm 36 1/2 weeks, and people are already telling me the baby should be here. i think they are all mad. there's way more stuff i should get done before he gets here, and you know, it would be nice if he was at least full term first.
yesterday, my friend threw me a small baby shower. it was so nice and mellow. rabidchild came and gave my baby the cutest damn crocheted sweater EVAH.

Pinko you look beautiful!
I am bad at documenting too. Today Kai rolled from his tummy to back for the 1st time, so I ran for the camera to try to catch it on video. He didn't do it again, but I realized I never made any videos of him until today. I am sorry I didn't get more - pics are good but don't fully capture how the babies really look in person the way video does.
So my advice is try to remember to make short movies too! It is so easy on phones or digital cameras these days, and you can even put it on youtube for family to see.

You are all very sweet! I don't think my more recent yoga pants and too-tight sweatshirt look would elicit the same reactions.
I had a doctor's appointment on Monday and since I'm past my due date I have to do an NST and an ultrasound on Friday (barring any exciting developments). Bleh. My doctor seems really on board with waiting and seeing (up to 42 weeks) but I guess she's going out of town right during the window where they'd want to schedule an induction for me, if it comes to that. So she said we could schedule it for a day she's on-call before then. But I figure if I go into labor on my own there's a pretty good chance she won't be the doctor I get anyway, so I'm not about to schedule an earlier-than-necessary induction just to have her be there.
Pineapple and spicy food and long walks this weekend!

Pinko, I hope everything works out great. Like you, I wasn't too worried about having my own doctor for delivering ( I knew it was very unlikely for the practice I go to!). Glad to hear that your doctor isn't trying to rush you. C'mon babypinko!

Good luck Pinko! Glad to hear your doctor's letting you wait it out, it seems like most of the people I know end up induced lately.
We just hit 11 weeks and had the first u/s, everything is good except I got really irritated at the hospital yesterday.. Basically husband took the morning off to come with me and then they didn't even bother to go get him (like the non-cnm nurse SAID she was going to go do) so the CNM did the u/s without him there and wouldn't wait! I get that they're busy, but the only reason he left the room was that the nurse implied that I was going to get a whole physical first, which I didn't, and he didn't want to invade my privacy.
Well, whatever. I switched my insurance and next week I make my first appointment with the midwives at a freestanding birth center. If all goes well I'll give birth in my own comfy home!
Now I just wish I could wake up out of my sleep haze.

Good luck, Pinko! I think you're right not to try and work it around the doc since that's always up in the air anyway. I tested posi for GBS so I've got to get antibiotics every 4 hours when I'm in labor. I'm not really concerned. I was going to have to have a hep lock anyway since I'm a VBAC and fears about not getting a baby out my vag for the second time far outweigh any concerns about the mild inconvenience of taking antibiotics. 37 weeks today, and my stomach feels at its limit...

Ack! You are too cute, isybb! And I love that sweater.
My stomach also feels like it's at its limit (probably because it is). The area around my belly button especially is so tight and the skin seems really thin. I'm maxed out!

isybb, I had to have antibiotics for GBS, too, and it was no big deal. It was inconvenient that my water broke before I was even aware of any contractions, so I had to go to the hospital when I was only 1cm dilated. I hope it doesn't happen that way for you, but if it does, spending early labor at the hospital is better than an infection any day.
