I am 4 weeks pregnant, and I have had early losses before, so I know its too early to tell anyone but OMG!!!! We really thought it would be so hard to get pregnant again because it was so hard the first time, so this is a surprise. I am alternately excited and thrilled and terrified. One kiddo is hard enough! How am I going to manage two?!

We found out because I have had 4 weeks of crazy chest congestion, that will not resolve, so my MD prescribed a chest CT, which they can't do if I am pregnant, just to rule out a pulmonary embolism. So I had the test, thinking there was almost no chance - but voila! And I've been on prednisone etc so now I'm just hoping that this congestion is just bronchitis which will resolve and then I can go about my business.

Tofulish!! Congrats!!

Re: the CT: I had both a chest X-ray and a CT while pregnant with E and he didn't turn into a freaky flipper baby or anything. So, I hope it also won't cause a problem for you!

Also, my personal experience is that the shift to two is infinitely less dramatic than zero to one.

Whoa, congratulations! That's so wonderful! I agree with C&S - it's way easier to have a second than to have your first. Honestly, I don't find it much more work. You've probably already made most of the lifestyle changes you need to make in order to live with children, so you'll be fine!

I agree, going from 1 to two was easy for me. Going from 2 to 3 has been much harder because I don't have enough arms for each kid.

Thanks everyone! I really liked what Kelly posted a few years ago, about not worrying about posting too early because even if it doesn't stick, its still an experience that you're going through and its fine to share it with people you trust to support you. I really liked not feeling like you shouldn't post too early. My sister didn't tell anyone besides her husband that she was pregnant until she was at 20 weeks. She has way more self-control than I do.

I've been losing all the babyweight, so its a tiny touch of bittersweet to realize that I'm going to be heading back up again. But I am also really allowing myself to enjoy dreaming about L as a sibling and all the pictures of the PPK sibling love is making me swoon today.

Ha... I remember feeling like that too. But the awesome thing is (and maybe this is why so many things are easier in round 2, actually): you've already done it once, you know you can do it, you will be able to do it again.

Oh yay! Yay! How exciting! I was just thinking about you the other day when the man and I were talking about whether to go for baby #2. I hope you're feeling well.

(We're pretty sure that another one is going to come our way....I have to admit to being a little sad that we won't have the same due date this time :p)
