ooof it really seems like The Nap is over for Dahlia...at 21 months old she is putting herself to bed at night and sleeping pretty soundly for about 11 hours 95% of the time, but that beautiful 2.5 hour period in the late afternoon seems to be ending. I am really bummed for my partner, because that is his time to do a million things (sometimes rest! but often dinner prep and housecleaning) and not have to worry about entertaining her, and I am also bummed for us as a couple because uh, that is like our only chance on the weekends, when I'm home too, for you know, ADULT stuff. Ugh ugh ugh.
Anyway, we are still going to keep trying the routine but in the past 2 weeks, she's cried to the point of us going in to get her probably 60% of the time. The end of an era for sure.

I seriously don't know how Walter is physically able to open his eyes. I've tested it - I've pushed my cheeks halfway up my face. Eyes don't work that good.

There are a ton of pictures of Ezra doing stuff and Walter just staring at him, expression unchanging. I think Ezra was getting a bit ticked by the end. Come on buddy, I'm doing my best stuff here! Did you SEE me put this thing behind my head? What gives??

You got some good ones! Walter was so impressed by Ezra's dexterity :) Believe it or not, I think Walter has slimmed down some...those cheeks were even bigger a month ago.

He was doing his best concentrating! I liked when Ezra pet Walter, did you get any pictures of that?

I have no idea where my baby went - I have a full-blown kid now, it's crazy!

Mitten, thank you so much for getting together. We had a blast! We'd be thrilled to get together with you any time!

Also, Ezra! He totally looks like a kid now. The Emperor's there too now... He's going to be a year and a half old tomorrow. Sometimes I look at him and am just blown away by how far we've come.

Speaking of which... Poopie, I don't remember when he finally connected sitting down with standing but I do remember being like come on guy!

Mitten and Flava - that's so cool you actually got together! The kids look adorable. Mitten, Kai has the same pants.

I have to agree milo's raised eyebrow is too cute! And so are tpp's photos. What else can you say? CUTE!

Freddie! So big! And I am totally jealous of the PPK baby meetup. I wish I lived in Maine! (Seriously, that was my big dream as a kid. I don't know why. I just decided it sounded nice and told everyone I was moving there.)

Milo's face is just the best. You should make them re-take all these pictures when they're like 30.

Inez had her first big belly laugh yesterday and it was pretty much the best thing ever. She'd done little chuckles before that, but my mom came by and she said something sing-songy to her as she was walking in and for whatever reason Inez just cracked up. For probably a solid minute and a half. My new goal in life is to make her do that as often as possible. It was so great!

Ummm... I think I might have just died of teh cute. Walter and Ezra started it, Ismloveyoubobbybrown's 2 boys kicked it into high gear and Freddie delivered the final blow! I say it often and say it proud, we Veg's make the cutest babies evar!

I must concur! Maxwell used to have cheekers like that and we had all kinds of nicknames for him. Chunkus Monkus, Mr. Cheekers, Chubby Cheekers....

Yay for PPK cuteness!!! I love seeing everyone's baby/kid grow up! They are all such healthy, vibrant beings. And super awesome outfits, of course.
