LB, I'm so sorry about your grandmother :( I was really close to my grandmother, too. It's a hard loss. I'm glad Tzippy brought so much cheer to your family.

Annak - I love that video! I've got to record Malka's animal talk with her grandmother (which includes weird things like "what does a ghost say?" "boo!" and "what does Malka say?" "byeeeee!")

Hahaha! Leela can't do the animal sounds, but when you said "What does the baby say?" She yelled "DADA!"

Clearly Vi has a future as a newscaster or cult leader.... (where does L send her Scooby Snacks?)

Oh animal sounds! I can't wait for those!

I haven't been around here much. We just moved and things have been crazy.

Let's see. E is exploading with language and signs and understanding. It is great. He puts things away where they go (sometimes) when I ask. He trys to repeat signs and words when I say them. He (sometimes) points to his diaper when he needs to be changed. He reads to himself. I know he is a bit late to the game but he is finally talking on his fake phone. It is adorable.

And the biggest update is that he is going to be a big brother in November.

Sounds like he is a lot of fun. I swear toddlerdom is like emotional crack...I just can't get enough.

Silas is reading! It's my favorite thing ever. (Tied with Shae learning to read)

He's learned a few words here and there for a year or so, but this weekend a friend of ours asked him if he could read yet (She was Shae's 2nd grade teacher), and he told her no and she said "I bet you can read a Dr Suess book.". He's always been resistant to reading words from books, but very open to reading during play. So today he says he's going to read a Dr Suess book like Ms Pam said and poof, reads 3/4 of Hop on Pop to me. Knew the vast majority of the words and then sounded out the rest (with prompting from me).

This is SO MUCH FUN.

So amazing to see how far he's come. All those super hard times when he was nonverbal all are feeling so far away now.

lol he's army crawling today... I'm a little freaked by how early he is compared to Samuel who didnt sit or crawl til 8.5-9months old. Whoa!! lol

You guys, I'd rather walk on my lips than brag, but...

We haven't had ANY snot since before thanksgiving. I feel so lucky. I haven't even discussed this luck with my partner, worried that I would jinx it. No runny nose, no sniffles, nothing. Tonight broke the streak. She seems to feel fine, but I'm wiping her nose every ten minutes. I guess we're due. When she got her first cold in early November, I thought it would be all snot all winter.

I was so proud of us for making it all the way to March and then bam! Cold followed by the stomach flu. Barf.

Same here! We weren't sick all winter, then we got stomach flu followed by a cold (which seems to be going away already, so I feel pretty lucky).

Same here. We were all fine til last week... and then both kiddos got sick and then hubby got tummy booboos and then Sam, and its been nonstop for 10 days.
