Its so funny, I don't feel like I've had any cravings where I *had* to have something. You know, the kind that send partners running to the store in the middle of the night. There are definitely things I am in the mood for, but most of my food related feelings have been mild aversions to some things. I just try and eat before I get hungry because otherwise I get nauseous.

Is that weird? Are other people's cravings more like really cravings?

It's early for you! I didn't start getting bad cravings until well into the 2nd trimester and they got so incredibly powerful that I just couldn't focus on anything else. I know some people don't have it this badly, but I'd have to say that about 90% of all the mothers I know have had some pretty intense food cravings at one time or another.

So far, my cravings were more intense in my first pregnancy. It might be because I'm a little more preoccupied this time, or just that every pregnancy is different.

So interesting! I can't wait to see what I have cravings for. I love discovering new stuff about being pregnant.

Miso soup, lately. I've been eating it every day with a little wakame.

I am holding myself back from getting a pint of ice cream up the street. I should eat this apple in front of me instead. Damn chocolate ice cream and it's magical powers.

I hope you don't discover the massively swollen feet and legs I was blessed with throughout my whole 3rd trimester.

Oh man, I just remembered this phase I went through where I couldn't stop thinking about these tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce from a Vietnamese restaurant here. I ate so many of those things.

I haven't had any specific pregnancy cravings yet, but I want to eat all the time! Everyday I try to control it and there is no stopping my appetite. I'm worried about eating too much while constantly hungry. I have always had to watch what i eat and tend to put on weight easily.

Also I have been too tired to cook lately, which has made the wholesomeness of my diet suffer.

Any kind of hot sauce on just about anything (but this one is going away...I still love my hot sauce, but it's not at the "gotta have it" point anymore)
Sushi, like everyone else
Bagels
Heinx 57 sauce on fries or tots
At the risk of being quoted in meatmeat's blog, I craved cheeseburgers for about a week, but never gave in.
I also get random cravings for salty things like pickles and Subway veggie subs.

Don't do it! What if your child turns into a fast-food addict as an adult and it all stems back to the that little taste of HFCS in utero?!? Did that talk you off the ledge? haha

I'm almost at 24 weeks and haven't had any cravings at all - I just want to eat everything! I've always had a healthy appetite so I'm not too surprised. I have been eating more fruit than usual, though - I just got some of that Ellie's white chocolate PB on sale at Whole Foods and discovered it is really yummy on apples!

You can make strawberry lemonade pretty easy-peasy, yeah? (maybe that wasn't so helpful, heh)

Still drinking oj like nobody's business here. We came home last night about 8 and discovered that the carton from breakfast had been sitting out all day, leaving no orange juice in the house. I thought for a minute that I might cry. :)

my cravings were exactly the same during both pregnancies. i didn't have the "i need it right now!" type of cravings, but i wanted the same thing all the time -- spicy food! chips and salsa, indian food, the spicier the better. oh, and also peanut butter. spoonfuls every day.

The world is officially for/against me. I had a friend ask me to bring her to mcdonalds last night so I did. She was going to get me one of those stupid strawberry lemonade things I have been craving. They were out of them. Thank goodness.

I think I just really want juice. I bought strawberry fruit bars on sunday night and had the last one today after work. I need more!

Although I don't have a very big appetite at the moment I am wanting too many sweet things. Every day I tell myself I'm going to eat healthy balanced meals with plenty of veg and it always ends up with me adding in a big hunk of cake, or some chocolate, cookies, etc. I've been making brownies and the last lot I added in some dried fruit in the vain hope that at least now it's not entirely empty calories. Right now I would really like some lemon drizzle cake.

Here is a coupon for you! Someone posted it on Babycenter. I guess you're not alone in your craving!

I can't handle strawberries at all this time around, which sucks. They're one of my favorites normally and one of the only things I could stomach when I was pregnant with the Emperor.

The one thing I am eating a lot of is melon. Cantaloupes right now. I ate a BIG melon... larger than my skull... by myself in 2.5 days and I could have eaten it faster. It needs to turn into real summer here because we get a huge variety of awesome summer melons at our farmer's market and I need more melons.

Yesterday I drove 30 minutes in a frenzy for Ethiopian food. And the restaurant? Closed. I don't have cravings generally but I could seriously taste the miser wat in my mouth.
