This is Hermes (not Herpes, hes our puppy we adopted at the beginning of the year)

This is Hera (Shes newly adopted trying to get her potty trained and manners since she was a stray)

The cool thing i think about the area where i am in is that the County Animal Shelter actually posts there adoptable animals on petfinder, which means a lot of dogs get adopted that might not of since the county animal shelter is actually in an industrial area next to nowhere.

His page says "bull terrier mix". I want him so so badly--what a sweet face, and it seems like his ears are like that all the time. Aw.

You guys, I need you to talk me out of contacting this rescue about Stella. My husband and I have been looking for a dogo argentino for a while and she's kind of perfect. Tell me I don't need another dog. Tell me that Stella pushed your grandmother down a flight of stairs after she set an orphanage on fire. Talk me out of this!

See, I was all set to try to talk you out of it, because I completely understand not being able to handle another dog, but then I saw this photo...

...and my heart just wasn't into dissuasion anymore. So now I say go for it!

We are full up right now unfortunately, I would love to take on a dozen more dogs. When the time does come we're pretty sure we want to adopt some kind of Pit Bull/Stafford-shire Terrier mix and we'd like to go with a senior dog since they are typically the hardest to adopt out for many shelters and rescues...Shila would be perfect.

As long as you can afford to feed her and take her to the vet, there is no reason why you shouldn't be in the car right now, halfway to the rescue, not even able to read my post.

Stella and her 5 sisters!! Wow. She is a cutie. Go get her now!! (although I'm not sure I could handle a puppy)

Are white male dogs deaf like cats?

(aww... I saw that one of her sisters is partially deaf. I've heard positive experiences about deaf dogs even though some people are reluctant to adopt).

Yeah, white dogs have the same problems as white cats. A good majority of the dogos available for adoption on Petfinder are either deaf or partially deaf. There's one on Petfinder that I love (George!), but I can't seem to get my husband on board with the idea of a fully deaf dog.

The rescue hasn't gotten back to me yet. I asked them if they'd adopt out of state because some rescues won't. We'll see what they say. I have the money, time, and space to devote to another dog, I'm just a little scared of 3 large dogs being too many.

"Riley is a beautiful AKC registered old man. His girl went to college and her mom and dad felt they were away too many hours to keep him. He'd been with her his whole life. He is a love bug and adores snuggling with me on the sofa. He's housebroken and has beautiful manners. He's in great health and has many good years ahead of him."

I have no understanding of how people can do shiitake like that to their dogs. Seriously? 12 years and then you give him to a rescue?
