So I tricked Brian into going to Petsmart (Chester DID need food), and they had lots of pound dogs out there, two that we really had wanted to meet but the pound makes me cry so I hadn't gone out there. This is Lala. Brian has wanted a Corgi forever. She licked my face and was very friendly and seems like she would be happy with whoever took her home. Likes cats and other dogs.  This is Boi. He was found tied to a telephone pole with another dog, in the alley behind his owners home. The owner surrendered both dogs so nothing happened to her. Boi made not a peep and showed zero interest in me, but he wasn't scared either and let me pick him up and hold him forever and ever (or until Brian told me he was checking out). He is all ribs under that fur, he needs some peanut butter and a bath, stat.

Wow, I had to double take to believe the second one is a dog! Looks like a black fox. Poor little guy. Sweet that he was content to be held even though he wasnt interested. And the corgi looks so cute and friendly!
Wait, am I supposed to be talking you out of these adorable furballs? Sorry.

Running around our apartment. Since then he's turned out to be a huge cuddle bug who sleeps pressed between us, burrows under the blanket with me on the sofa, and gives me lots of kisses. Adoption event-type situations can sometimes be stressful for dogs and they don't exactly show the affection they otherwise would if you had them in a quiet, comfortable place. Oh and Boi totally does look like a fox!

Oh, I know. I'm not worried that he was paralyzed by fear, he still didn't shrink away from me. We met a really cute beagle at last weekend's adoption, but she was so scared, she just huddled next to her foster parents the whole time, even after I gave her a treat.
Lala is our first choice because I told Brian he could pick out the next dog, but I kind of hope she's already been adopted because she seemed so normal and well adjusted and I want to snatch Boi up and protect him forever and never chain him up in an alley.

I had too much wine on Thanksgiving and somehow scheduled myself an appointment to see and perhaps adopt this little girl...  Better start figuring out where I could put a second litter box!
