I am seeing these sorts of supports more and more often now - so you may want to find something like this going forward?

As long as he's not in a a lot of pain, you may be able to manage him a while yet.

ive seen people in my Nosework class who have really large dogs use something similar but slightly different. it's nice that there are so many options these days to help them.

he does not appear to be in any pain yet so that is good.

there are so many pain management options too like laser therapy, acupuncture, chiro, etc but unfortunatley he's not a good candidate for any of them due to his insane level of reactivity.

i cant imagine bringing him to a vet office and have him lie still to put needles in him, and if he heard a dog collar jingle or something. fuggetaboutit

Jazzy is really not well and I'm scared. The vet said she had fluid on or around her lungs and although they think that's reduced they're not sure if she has a problem with her heart.

She is weak and isn't eating. She's only drinking when we hold the bowl right up to her.

Normally she doesn't really miaow, she just squeaks and it's barely audible. Today she jumped off the chair she was sitting on (she hasn't really been moving around) and tried to run outside but her legs went all wobbly. Then she just flumped down and cried really loud for a while. She's going to the vet again today and I'm scared that they're going to say they can't do anything for her.

She is around 12-13 (we're not 100% sure as she's a rescue) and she's had some health problems in the past due to whatever happened to her before we got her so I wasn't expecting her to live to a really old age, like my old cat. But she didn't seem ill at all until about a week ago.
