One of my cats, Nora, has been acting so strange lately. A few times a day (usually at night) she will stare very wide-eyed at something I can't see. She follows it around the room with her eyes. I don't think it's just a bug that I can't see, because she chases bugs when she sees them, she wouldn't just watch them without doing anything.

This, coupled with occasionally hearing strange things, makes me think my apartment may be haunted. I'm not scared of it, because if something is there, it seems friendly. It's just strange.

For weeks Nero would just sit and stare into this corner. For hours. It was so weird! but then a mouse ran out from under the cupboard one day.

Yea, I have thought about this possibility, as I have seen her stare at "nothing" for this same reason. But lately it's different because whatever she is looking at is at adult-human height.

My dog does that sometimes. Once she even woofed at a corner, which was weird because she only woofs when she sees people she doesn't know/ like.

This would explain a lot of weird bird behavior.

She could just be hearing things that you can't. This past week I had horrible insomnia and Cammie was up with me, a few times she was growling and barking at what seemed like nothing but I'm sure it was just noises that I couldn't hear outside or something. I'm pretty sure we're the only spirits in my house. But you never know!

Usually when my cats act weird like that, they next start pawing at the walls, and then shortly after I have a deer mouse caught in my live trap above the basement ceiling.
