My dog chewed almost exclusively on wood
when he first came home, at around 6 months. Our kitchen table, chairs, and couch legs still look like a beaver tried to re-appropriate them to build a dam.

I think their texture drew them to him. He still gnaws on them from time to time, apparently when he needs a gum massage.
He also TOTALLY freaks out over naturally shed deer antlers, which we get from our local farmers market in the spring. They last forever
, and he'll sit and happily chew on one for hours on end, but I'm genuinely not sure what the ethics of those are as it relates to veganism.
