I took in a litter of six this weekend. Gotta love those Craigslist adds "FREE TO GOOD HOME" fortunately, the person agreed to surrender to rescue It's almost too much cuteness to bear. Bath time lining up for dinner (left to right Lola, Mr B, McGee and Marvin) Please feed us! This is Marvin (named after Marshall and Lily's baby) Mr. B Maura Sally - she needs me

Best! You are awesome for taking in those pups.
I'm sure everyone here knows this, but CL's "Free to a Good Home" listings are horrible, because even though the people might mean well, bunchers get their dogs there, and these little guys could have spent their lives being used for research

We explained to her that for the most part, the people who reply to those adds are either backyard breeders who just want a free uterus or class B dealers who want to sell to research labs. She was clueless..........

Awesome that you can make sure they get good forever homes, but how do you not die from the cuteness?

Marvin, will you please come live with me? I have a fenced in yard and another doggy that will want to be your boss. If you're cool with that, we should talk.

So great of you for rescuing them.
And, they are so cute. I'm admittedly a little bit emotional right now, but I think I might cry. I want to snuggle them all this instant.

That is horrifically sad. I'm glad these little ones escaped that fate. Good job!

Yeah, my argument against 'free to a good home' is usually from the adopters side, I say that there's no such thing as a free dog, and you will spend way more getting the dog fixed and their full set of puppy shots than you would adopting from the pound or a local shelter. I never thought about the research animal angle, even though I should because when my neighbor rescued pitbulls people from out of state were always contacting her about taking multiple dogs, some even sent her checks to pay for transport even after she said no (she ripped the checks up).

They are ADORABLE! I love them!
I can't even look at the pet section on craigslist anymore. The ads are just so infuriating

Yes, last time I went on, I sent 40 emails to the people posting them telling them about bunchers etc. And got no responses and no ads taken down. It made me a little crazy and sad.

I actually didn't know that about craigslist ads, although I knew they had to be awful.
I'm just going to focus on the puppies, because they're forking adorbs.
