I have a cat that randomly attacks another smaller cat in the house. Today it cost me a vet bill from two bit wound on the smaller cats tail that I did not know were there until she started acting sick and her tail was drooping. Fortunately, we caught it before she had to be hospitalized but getting the wounds cleaned cause her enoumous pain. Her pain resulted in me get scratched and bitten (not deeply).
The attacking cat is very sweet to humans most of the time but she is picky sometimes about when and where she will allow you to pet her. Like she will lay on the bed with you but generally gets irritated if you try to pet her there. However, in the bathroom she loves being petted and is very affectionate there. She is always happy to see us when we come home and flops at our feet and rolls around when we come in the door.
I have tried feliway, and confinement, playing with her more often, and praising good behavior in the end she still ends up attacking the other cat. We have four cats and a cat freindly dog. My other cats are nice to each other and her.
