i bathe my guinea pigs once a year in the summer just to get some stink off them.
they dislike it very much! then they plot my death for several days and i have to appease them with carrots! one of my current pigs has never had a bath before.
that was not fun.

god i love piggies. i am eating watermelon right now thinking about how much my piggies loved it and would be thrilled to have some. your piggies are so precious and i wish i could beam some watermelon right to their nibbly little lips.

Yay! Bathtime peegs!

Mine are having the works this weekend - baths, haircuts and pedicures.

Oh shiitake they're adorable. What sweet piggies.

I have yet to meet a pig who likes bath time, but there is something really nice about the clean ball of fluff.

Wet guinea pig smells so bad though. Worse than dog.

I'm weird, I love guinea pig smell. Barney used to smell like plastic-y boar stank and I loved it.

i *hate* piggie nail clipping time. i do it at the beginning of the month and it's always horrifying.
the orange bratty one is the worst. she just thrashes around like crazy. i have to have my husband help me with her. she needs a piggie straight jacket.

i used to have a biter but she passed away earlier this year.


ive never noticed a wet piggie smell. i use a raspberry small animal shampoo so they usually smell like that after.

dogs however. UGH.
the first dog shampoo i bought was pina colada "flavored"
man oh man, wet dog + pina colada shampoo is one of the worst things i have ever smelled.

They're all so cute! I always wanted one with crazy hair. My mom had a brown and white abyssinian who lived to 9 1/2 years! I'm thinking of adopting a piggie or two in the future, because I miss having one so much, and my dog loves them. I just need to find a really super cute one that can convince my mom that we need another animal in the house...

my first piggie was an abby whom i aptly named Punky. then later my third piggie is the orange monster (Penny) above whom is also an abby. i find the abby's definitely have their own distinct crazy personalities. usually the smooth hair Americans are very docile and sweet and abbyssinians are just crazy.
Penny definitely falls into the completely crazy category. shes the the craziest pig ive ever had. she's also crazy smart. she is nicknamed monster brat for a reason.
Pelly must be a mix of breeds. i think she must be an "abbruvian" (peruvian/abby) cause she doesnt have mop hair but her hair is still pretty long and sticks out. she is sweet but also has a bit of an abby personality!

i want a whole army of peegs!

4 has been my most and actually i think i normally have 4 but after the last one passed away i just havent gotten another one yet.

the piggie manifesto would also include truckloads of vegs!
