My dog, Lucy, loves her some nooch (like mother, like daughter), so I often sprinkle some on her food. Then it occurred to me to wonder how much is okay/good for her, if there's such a thing as too much, etc. A Web search comes up with nebulous answers for brewer's yeast as a canine supplement, but I'm talking about the same Red Star yeast the two-legged members of our family inhale on a regular basis. Does anyone have any info/insight about this, or am I just being a worrywart? If it helps, she weighs in at about 25 lbs., and is generally super-healthy, bouncy, happy, and active. Thanks in advance! <3

I don't know for sure, but anytime I've got something with nooch in it, my dog's all up in that. Sometimes I let her have some and she seems to love it as well. I don't think it'll hurt them, but I wouldn't give more than the sprinkles you give now until you're certain.

My pups are nooch addicts! When Gizmo sees me open the container she goes nutso. I sprinkle a tiny bit on top of their food every day and sometimes if I run out of homemade veggie mix to add to their kibble, i sprinkle a little extra, add some water and make a noochy gravy for them.

At the whole foods here they sell nooch right by the dog food so a lot of people must do it. My dogs sit by their full bowl of food and stare at me until I sprinkle some nooch on it.

What about for cats? They go crazy with wanting for it, but I never give them more than a little nibble because I'm unsure.
