So I'm cat sitting, which is mostly awesome, but I think one of the cats doesn't like me. Or she's not feeling well. She puked several times this morning. I'm trying to figure out what to do. Google terrified me. I think it might be because her eating schedule got a bit off. (It's clear vomit with white foam.) Or it could be stress? (I had to try to pill her yesterday, and it did not go well for either of us. I ended up crushing it up in the wet food.) She's also an older Siamese, not sure if that matters.

TL;DR White foam vomit: Immediately to the vet?

ETA: I texted the cat momma, but she's probably asleep as it's pre-dawn. Ugh. I just want to do a good job. Henry, the other cat, slept on my head, and that seemed to go well.

Just heard back from the kitty's momma, and she says not to worry that kitty is a puker! She's been eating and drinking, so I think she's OK. Man, that freaked me out though. Anyway, I thought it might be good to have a thread for people who are pet sitting to ask questions.

My kitty's a puker too and yeah that is normal for her. My cat's favourite trick is when we put too much food out at once, she gets excited and eats it all really fast, then promptly goes and barfs it up on the living room rug. Nice.

White foam vomit is often due to fruitless efforts to hack up a hairball, in my experience.

I strongly recommend the Greenies pill pockets. I have a cat that has to be pilled twice an day and she can't eat those things fast enough!

I bought these today! It made me so incredibly happy. Like I want to give the creator a big old hug. We spent 15 minutes this morning wrastling, and I don't know. She was unhappy, I was unhappy. I came back and plopped the Greenies in front of her, and she was just like, OH! Treat! I didn't have to give her the speech from Cool Hand Luke again or anything! (In other news, I may have uncovered a latent cat-lady gene. They have definitely been on the receiving end of a number of songs already today.)

I'm so glad they helped! They are a lifesaver for me, she is convinced they are her special treat that no other cat gets, therefore the pill pockets are evidence she is Best and Most Favorite Cat.
