She's so lucky you found her. I can only imagine that poor little dog was dumped by someone. I'm not too experienced with dogs but I have known people who had small/big dog combos that got along great. You are a dear.

Aww, Tobi! You're so awesome for taking her in and I gotta say I'm impressed she didn't have heartworms. At the shelter my mom volunteers at, 99% of the strays picked up have heartworms because of all the mosquitoes here. It sounds like she really lucked out with you giving her a good home.

What a great story to start the year with. Congratulations to Tobi, for finding her forever home.

Tobi and I are so grateful for all the love and good wishes we're receiving on the PPK! Today we're cuddling, watching zombie flicks and snacking. She was spayed on Wednesdays, so I think that's a plan we'll both enjoy. I hate to see her in pain, but I'm more than eager to comfort her! It's cold and dark outside; blankets are in serious order.

My plans were to get her health checked and bring her weight up. After about one and half weeks, everything changed. She started responding to her name and just appeared so comfortable in my home. It's like she knew who I was, and was thankful for taking her in. I'm just happy that she's happy and has a home and can be around people and canines that love her.
