I want to make my friends home made treats for they're furry babies. I found a few recipes online but I'm curious if anyone here has any favorites :)

For the pups I mix 1 cup flax meal, 1/3 cup nutritional or brewers yeast and about a 1/2 cup of water. Sometimes I mix in parsley because Gizmo has awful breath. Mix it all up and press onto parchment paper til like 1/4 inch thick. You can cut shapes out with cookie cutters if you want. I just leave it as a big rectangle and cut into squares when cooled. Bake at 400 for 15-30 minutes. start checking at 15, you want them to not be soft.

My dogs go crazy for them. and they are super healthy.

My favorite simple recipe which all my pooches and their friends love:

-1/4 cup natural peanut butter
-1 tbsp veggie oil
-1 cup warm water

Now mix all that together!

Add:

-1 cup oats
-about 2-2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour

Mix it all up really well and roll out to about a quarter inch. Use cute cutters if you have 'em (of the appropriate size for their mouths) and bake at about 375 degrees F for 30-35 minutes (just keep an eye on 'em).

I've been making these for years and actually have a batch in the oven as I'm typing. 3 Big packages already wrapped up. Definitely good'ns.

I have no clue for the cats though other than making little cat toys for them.
