He definitely has some beautiful vibrissae! And they really tickle me when he is on my shoulder and sniffs my face.

My FIV kitty Oliver has developed an allergy to an antibiotic and he has scratched his neck raw, so he has to wear a cone.

Oh man, Graeme is funny. That can't be comfortable!

Poor Oliver doesn't look happy at all.

So I figured I wasn't selected as it had been so long and I hadn't heard anything, but my photo made it and will be in the 2014 calendar!! I just got the news and I told my co-worker/friend and then I started tearing up. I'm so happy, but also sad that she isn't around to share the news with. I'm happy tons of people will get to stare at her pretty face for an entire month though. (Selfishly, I also feel kind of cool as it will be my first in-print published photograph)

lobsteriffic, that's great! It's wonderful that the memory of your (beautiful!) kitty can live on in this way.

Lobsteriffic, I'm tearing up a little reading your post, but what a great tribute to Chloe! And a beautiful pic - it totally deserves to be in the calendar. I hope she gets one of the longer months with that extra, 31st day :)

I love that the llama appears to be giving Tegan the stink eye and Tegan is all oblivious.

He was actually giving the stink eye to my mom. He hates people, but he loves dogs. When a dog (or at least the ones I've had) goes up to the fence, he pricks his ears up and trots over and they touch noses through the fence:

When a human approaches the fence, he pins his ears back and makes a grumpy face. He seems to especially dislike my mom for some reason, and she's always terrified that he's going to spit on her!

Oh man, that is just all kinds of good . Not so great for your mom though. Poor moms, always getting the rough end of the pineapple.

Sweet, sweet Chloe. It's such an amazing and beautiful photo of your special friend. I'm happy for you and sad for you all at once. What a bittersweet moment.

That's so great. Chloe looks beautiful. And you should be proud it's your first in-print photo - what an awesome tribute to her.

I'm super duper excited! I get this calendar every year. It would have been funny if I'd never seen this post, received the calendar and saw Chloe! I would have recognized the photo for sure!

I'm soooo excited for you and what a lovely tribute to Chloe! Congratulations! <3 <3 <3

Is that a dapple grey? I always wanted a dapple grey horse when I was a kid. I recently got to pet some of the Budweiser clydesdales...and it was pretty much the highlight of my summer. Horses are awesome.

Clydesdales are forking gorgeous. He was at one point in his life dappled! Now he's just sort of grey on his way to white (guess the technical term is fleabitten?). Here's a better full-body shot with dad holding him:

Image
Currently recovering from effectively a lower back injury, hence looking like the front and back of two different horses, but he'll be back to normal galloping around his field in no time.
