Caligula is Moopers as he's a fat black cat that cannot "meow", only "moop".
Grimalkin is Grim for short.

My dog's name is Merlin. His only nicknames are Squirrelin, Merlbird, Buster, Sausage Mahoney and Cynthia - but that's only when he is being bad; he hates that name is will get all skiddish if we start calling him that.

Haha I do this. The one that comes to mind is "Oh Monchichi, Oh Monchichi, thy leaves are so unchanging." It makes no sense, other than "Monchichi" sort of rhymes with "Christmas Tree". Of course he also has "the" Moncchichi song "Moncchichi my Moncchichi, Oh so soft and cuddley.."

Demi has lots of nicknames: demelza, bendemelina, demsty, demicita, dem-dem, honey bun, munchkin, demi bear, ms. dog, the deminator, shorty, pup-pup, and probably a few I can't think of

Possibly because they are both named after indie rock musicians, several of our animals' nicknames are weird or bastardized pop culture references.

My dog's name is Cheeta, but we call her Chichi, because growing up me and my brother were called 'Chachi' and 'Cuchi' as nicknames, so the dog matches us!

Kaylee's ballad only has one stanza so far, which goes "Kaylee the pirate cat / rode in a car all wild and free / without a box, without a box / in a red car to Graz rode she" - which sounds more dangerous than the reality behind it (she was asleep draped across my shoulders all of the time). I still have to compose a second stanza about her defeating and eating Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness (and my favourite edition, too).
