my latest foster, Yukon Cornelius (for red sox fans, we will likely call him YUUUK)

he is about 7 years old, family couldn't be bothered with him anymore, not that they bothered with him much for those 7 years; he supposed fell off the bed as a baby and injured his back leg, they nevevr did anything about it and he has been limping around, carrying his back leg up for all those years. it is now twisted and deformed and compromising his hips and other legs; it has to be removed, once his raging ear infections and raw skin heal. this poor poor soul and he is just so adorable.

Oh, his sweet face slays me! He is beautiful! My very favorite dogs to rescue are the older and special needs dogs. One of my really large (Great Dane sized) dogs had to have one of his front legs amputated due to having cancer. While he went through a period of depression at first, he is back to his old self now. He still gets the Zoomies and flies around the yard with our other dogs and can play and pretty much do everything he did before. It just took a little bit of time to adjust. I wish you luck with Yuukie's amputation! Tripods are awesome!

Awwww what a sweetie! I just want to curl up next to him for a snuggle.
I'm not a violent person, but I certainly have violent feelings toward people who think that dogs (cats, or any other animal) are a disposable commodity.

!!!!

So cute.

My family adopted a pair of shelties when I was growing up because their family decided they just didn't want them any more. They were pretty much the best dogs ever.

Omg his face is killing me! It's like, if Sable made a sad face, that's what it would look like. I want to hug him! His family sucks and I'm glad he is in a safe place now. I'm sure he will do just fine on 3 legs and I hope his ears feel better soon. Poor little munchkin.
