OH GOSH. I just saw this, thanks to the post in the Foyer. If I can recruit some CA people to help share expenses, I'd love to do this, but that's dependent on recruiting some partners in crime.
So... I am tentatively excited.

it's looking more and more likely I'll be on this patch of dirt 'til August, so count me in! I'll make it happen somehow, haha. so long as there are smores, because apparently that's a thing on this edge of the planet

I thought there was something about Millersylvania that I didn't like (I camped there maybe 5 years ago) but all I wrote in my camping book is that the campsites weren't very private. If we're looking at getting two or three adjoining sites, that might actually be favorable because it would be more like we were all camping together.

I'm good for the first or second weekend in August. I think panda was making a little list of people on page 2 who were up for the second weekend.

I didn't think to ask until now, but are people okay with a toddler at this? She's generally pretty chill, but if you guys would rather not have a kid around we can bow out.

haha. There didn't seem to be too much sustained interest. The second weekend in August was originally what was best for most interested parties.

Sorry guys, but I might need to bow out if we don't get something planned, date-wise. :( Working in tourism is no fun in the summers!

I think the second weekend in August worked for the most people, right? If I get some baby-free computer time today or tomorrow, I can book something. Not sure what will be available still, but does anyone have any more input on park selection?

no one seemed to object to that date, so let's commit to it. I have nothing to add in terms of sites/locations, but I'm happy wherever :) even if it's not perfect, the company will make it awesome. book it!

Damnit, vegans! I wish I were there. Or that this had happened in May when I passed through.

Cool. I will try to be there. Two of my staff just quit (UGH) to collect EI instead, so I have kind of a shitstorm with scheduling, so I will remain a maybe.

Okay! We have two sites at Potlatch State Park, arriving on Friday the 10th and leaving Sunday the 12th. Yay! We can have a maximum of 16 people between the two sites, so I think we're good, yeah? They are sites 22 and 23. One is supposed to be better than the other, so maybe if there aren't a ton of people we can kind of congregate in the good one. Anyway! Excited! Oh, and we always borrow all my dad's camping stuff (because we are bums) so we will have sooooo much stuff. Like a full kitchen with a stove/lantern rigged to run on propane and an extra (big!) tent and and 3 or 4 cots and just like 60 years worth of camping crepe. So if anyone is light on gear, we've probably got you covered. Except for sleeping bags and chairs.
