Hello PPK! The Fly Away Zine Mobile is going on a show and tell tour, and they're looking for places to visit and people to participate in each town. I'm excited to travel along for a few days in Washington, and we'd love to hear from folks who would like to host a visit by the zine mobile, share stories, play music, facilitate a workshop, or anything else related to showing and telling. Here's more information about the tour: mobileshowandtell.wordpress.com.
Is there a chance that any PPK folks from the Northwest might like to participate? Maybe there could be a cooking workshop or something fun like that? The organizers of the tour are really open to having events in each city be really unique to what people in the community want to see happen. We'd also be excited about meeting up with folks in a park (or other community space) who would like check out the zine mobile, eat food together, and share stories. It could be a good excuse for a potluck.
The dates in Washington are: July 19: Olympia July 20: Seattle or Eastern Washington July 21: Spokane
We'd love to visit houses, bookstores, infoshops, community spaces, farms, parks, etc. Please let us know if you have any suggestions!
Thank you!

Have you already talked to the folks at the library in Olympia? They host quite a few zine-related events and programs. Might be a little too last minute to set up anything official, but talk to Kelsey, the adult services librarian, at Olympia.

The librarians at the Oly Timberland library are amazing. ♥ Unfortunately, Kelsey is going to be out of town when the mobile is here, so she's unable to help.
