Last news: on fb chat, the cupcake people asked us to vote for them here http://www.veganisme.org/veganisme/vegan-award-2012/

I guess it'll be awhile til we can set a date, since their renovations are taking so long. So maybe you'll be able to join us after all, lepelaar.

Hai guys,
I am the owner of Heavenly Cupcakes in Rotterdam. We are experiencing difficulties with the flooring in the shop, so it will take up to a month before we can open the doors, and that sucks.....
Our cats stay at home, the pictures were completely off-topic, but I really wanted to show our new kitten to the world.

I am really pleased that you are planning a trip to Rotterdam, just let me know when you are coming (after the shop is open) so I can give you some extra attention and make sure I have a special treat for you all.

One more thing : we are nominated for de Dutch Vegan Award, a great honour. If you support a 90% Vegan, run by women, initiative, would you please vote for us? http://www.veganisme.org/veganisme/vegan-award-2012/?

When I was busy signing out of fb last night, I saw a note from the cupcake corner saying they're opening on December 1st. Can anyone confirm? I didn't see a message on their website or blog. [Would be awesome to have a meetup before I fly out to the States Dec. 20 to Feb. 3!]

Yes, Saturday December 1th we will finally open the doors and or Vegan-friendly patisserie will finally be in business.
To make it an extra festive day Lisette Kreischer and one of "her" Burger Boys will come over to flip some burgers. Dutch Weed Burgers offcourse.
You're all welcome, Lisette will be there from 13.00 hours.

Are you talking about De Oude Plek? I think they only have a buffet once a month...and they are only open from 4 p.m. each day. :/ I'd be down for an early dinner there if people want to stay that late, though! It's on the train route home for me. Walking distance from the Lombardijen station.
