Oh yes, it's rare indeed ... whenever I tell people I'm not on facebook I felt kind of outlandish. But I don't feel the need to justify myself to anyone, and I'm always glad to meet others who are 'off' :)

Is anyone going to participate to the Worldwide Vegan bake sale in Hamburg? I see these folks already signed up on the official website. I'll try to bake some stuff, although I'll be out of the country until the day before the event...

Hallo!
I'm glad that someone started this thread. While I have no plans at this time, I very much want to explore Berlin & Germany some time in the future! It would be lovely to get your tips on how to best enjoy my visit, particularly as a vegan on a very limited budget. If any of you would potentially be interested in showing me around your areas or possibly traveling around with me for even a day or 2, please get in touch!
Here is a specific question: What are some of the nicest vegan friendly small towns that you'd suggest visiting in Germany (or elsewhere)? Let's say places with not more than about 100,000 people - smaller is generally better.

Thanks! Are you from Berlin originally? I've heard many nice things about the city so I look forward to visiting one day. :)

I live in Berlin as well, can't believe it took me so long to find this thread! Any plans for a meet up? I'm helping organize a vegan BBQ in Berlin that happens this June 1st. Last year there were always at least 100 people there throughout the day, which means lots of food! Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/events/618549628173511/Everyone is welcome, vegan or not, you just need to bring a vegan dish for everyone. :-) If anyone is planning on going, get in touch! If you don't have anyone to go with and feel weird going alone, you're welcome to join my friends and I. Regardless, I'd love to get in touch with other vegan PPKers living in Berlin or even just traveling through!
