anyone know if turnpike pizza has vegan cheese? (i have an e-mail in to the place, but you know.)

it's a livingsocial deal, so if you go for it and they have real vegan options, give me your referral link, because livingsocial only does the thing where they'll only give referral credit if you buy the deal first. (i think it's if you refer 3 other people who buy the deal, you get it free.) so instead of my posting the generic link, i'll post your link instead. (i can't guarantee anyone will click, but just in case.)

http://livingsocial.com/deals/11223-50- ... offer_id=4

dayumm! that was quick! "Hi Carrie, we do have Daiya vegan cheese and we make it available on all pies, we also have marinated tofu to replace chicken on pies as well and even vegan pesto for our GreenLake pie. The specs on Daiya can be found here: www.daiyafoods.com -ric"

as for the sidecar's name change...

"We'll be named Vegan Haven—someday," says Driver. "Because we're a nonprofit, we have to wait for the secretary of state to sign off on the name change, and someone in the office is sitting on the paperwork..."

Maybe this is the opening we've been looking for to suggest a better name. ANY better name.

I nominate V-District Market.

We gotta get the V-District name out there.

And... go!

I think they should just call themselves The V-District, but I'll take yours too. Or, you know, just Sidecar.

I'm just putting it out there: I would like to go to Wayward tomorrow for brunchfast (that's between breakfast and brunch). Don't know if I will, but I hope I do. Perhaps I'll see some of you there.

Good night

TAD status protocol requires that you post a picture.

I know! But I felt too weird about it to do that. He sat right behind us, too!

Hey Seattle,

If I only have three days in Seattle, and have limited time since I'll be there for work, what are the must-eats that your fair city offers that I just can't miss?

Merci,
MJ

Am I allowed to ask who Tad is? I feel like I should know, since he's mentioned enough, but sadly I don't. I want to be in on the joke!

It's not a joke!

Tad was the leader of TAD, a late-80s, early-90s Seattle band.

I often see him at Wayward Cafe.

Sweet! Thank you for informing me. It might be my new mission to seek out this documentary.
