I can go anytime on a weekend day. I really like the food there, but it is usually just the one guy working there alone, so food doesn't come out at the same time, there is no seperate waiters, etc. If I let him know we are coming in advance though, it should be easier.

I just went there today with my sister for lunch and his kid was waiting tables. (It's still school break this week.) Super cute! Like others have said, don't expect the fastest service, but the food was yummy! (Oh, and the warm ginger soy milk... mmmm....)

Hey guys! Thanks, Veg Eric for letting me know about the meetup. I've been out of the PPK loop a bit :)

I'm back from the states and a bit travel weary, but my resolution this year is some work/life balance, so I'm going to try and make this. I'll have to check out my travel/money situation, but count me in for now! You guys had me at Anek and vegan shoes.

Wait, there will be shoes shopping involved? Oh no! My one resolution for this year is not to buy any more clothes! Or do shoes not count in the clothes category? Then I'm fine.

Clothes and shoes are different things ;) But I guess that we could walk to the store that also sells vegan shoes afterwards.

Though dinner wasn't mentioned, it could also be an option to have dinner somewhere in Amsterdam city center.
I often recommend "De Bolhoed". The quality of dinner varies, but their desserts are often quite good.

If we need a place to hang out for a few hours for some coffee/tea, my place is up for offer, since I live just a few blocks from terra zen, but it is quite small.

I will probably pass on going out for dinner too, though I would like to recommend this place as a potential alternative to De Bolhoed: http://www.vliegendeschotel.com/ They're not too far from De Bolhoed and I enjoyed their food and prices more myself.

Amsterdam Centraal is the (main/central) train station in Amsterdam.

You would probably have to follow signs towards the (town) centrum exit, and you'll end up in the historic part of the station.

My suggestion is to meet up in this hall. (perhaps Bun has a better suggestion)
It's as far as I know, the only hall with a 2nd level and has a restaurant on that level.
