I live in kc part time and Michigan part time. Can find all kinds of places to eat in Michigan but know of none in the kc area... Where are some good places to eat and shop?
Anyone know if there is a vegan meet-up in the kc area?

Eden Alley is great! It's a little pricey but worth it. I've heard Waldo Pizza is Vegan friendly. Fud is a new place that has been getting good reviews.

Blue Nile has fantastic Ethiopian food! If you google, vegan Kansas City, they have a nice website.

Eden is great, and Waldo Pizza has great vegan cheese that they can sub on any pizza, plus vegan desserts. Kokoro Maki House, which is right next to Waldo, has a great vegan special roll that has sweet potatoes and onion tempura in it. Soooooo good. Downtown and Westport, good options are Lulu's Thai and Jerusalem Cafe. I haven't tried Füd yet, but I hear good things.
If you feel like driving to Lawrence, we've got the Tenth Street Vegetarian Bistro, a couple of Asian places that have vegan chicken analogues, and a sub shop called Yello Sub that does a great vegan tempeh BBQ sandwich.
If you're looking for a meetup group, there's one linked in the Mo-Kan Vegans thread. It's run by the VegKC folks. Good people.
