I know it's early to announce a meetup for june already but I want to give you all the opportunity to plan ahead and get a day off at work like Bun and myself did to meetup Interrobang?!

No real plan so far, but I suggest to meetup as early as possible and show Interrobang?! Amsterdam, possibly doing lunch and some "mandatory" items during the day and going out for dinner for those who can.

-first suggestion for dinner by me would be "de bolhoed" (bowler hat) for their desserts.

I'm there! I don't work on Wednesdays anyway, but knowing this far in advance I can make sure to leave the day open.

I haven't been to the Bolhoed in ages (not since going vegan, actually) so I'd be up for that. Other thoughts: the Golden Temple in the Utrechtsestraat is also good, and Wagamama (with two locations in the center of town) also has a number of vegan options. (They're not veg*n but I like that they're so transparent about their ingredients.)

Ok so, you guys. I need help here. All I have paid for so far are the flights I bought back in Dec. This is budget exxxtreeeme traveledge and I need some tips on where to stay. Anyone got any hostel recommendations or suchlike? I have never been to "Holland"* before and know nowhere so need your awesome pro-tips.


*I'm only saying that to wind-up Bun. Don't hate!

If I have my own place by June, if I have enough space, AND if you stop saying Holland, you're welcome to stay at mine! Not sure where that will be though...! (Most likely in Noord-Brabant - you know, one of the parts of the country that isn't Holland.)

If you want to see Groningen, and are smokefree, youre welcome with me :)

If needed you can also stay at my place, but it's an hour by train towards the east.

Second that. I'm 30 min. from Amsterdam by train. You're also welcome at mine. :-)

I'll definitely try to make it to this one. I've crossed out the day on my calendar, so unless my boss comes up with some crazy plan, I'll be there!

We could visit a museum or the Anne Frank house? I've never visited the latter and it should be relatively easy to get in on a Wednesday. I like museums (and churches, right guys?)
We could go on one of those awful boat rides.
We could get some cheese at that one shop Bonnie took us to. They should also have Tartex. (I really enjoyed that cheese, by the way!)
We could finally go to that sex shop Anek wanted to go to, haha. Or the sex museum.

For once, and ONLY because this is a special meetup, I will be wearing sensible shoes.

Oooohhh if you call me out on the sex shop, then I must make it! I can't pass the opportunity to see you in sensible shoes ;-)
I'd love the Anne Frank house too.

I might sit out the Anne Frank house. Been there more than once and for personal reasons I don't have it in me to go again. If you do go, I'd suggest getting there really early, as the line to get in snakes around the block even on a weekday.

I'll happily sit at the Bolhoed with a cup of coffee (it's just up the road from the Anne Frank House) and meet y'all afterwards! And I'm up for everything else mentioned. I LOVE going on the awful boat tours. The best way to see Amsterdam is from the water!

I'll hang out with you at that cafe instead of going into the Anne Frank house.
