Ask anyone. EVERYONE knows where Starbucks is! ;)
(it's located between Hema and a perfume shop, I think.)

If we start at central station, we could first go to Vega-Life (vegan shoes etc.), then walk over to Terra Zen for lunch. These are all at very close distance.
After that we could take a boat tour (no walking needed), or take the tram to a museum and/or a big health food store like the Biomarkt. Then dinner somewhere. The Bolhoed? Some Asian place? I'm honestly not sure if I want to go back to TerraZen. But if everyone else wants to go, I won't be a party pooper. Also: Anek, are you coming? I promise I'll wear sensible shoes!

I haven't been to Terra Zen yet and I've heard so many weird things about it that I've gotten really curious, but I can go there on my own sometime.
Lunch at the Bolhoed? Also close to Vega-Life. Vegan dessert for lunch!

I'd like to go to the Bolhoed (hooray, dessert!). ANd yeah ... yeah .... I know Starbucks is everywhere. #53 on that map looks like where Simon-Levelt is.

Starbucks is diagonally across the hall from Simon Levelt. Indeed on the same side as the Hema and the perfume shop (Mooi, I think it's called). Between the main hall and the west hall. Bolhoed also sounds good to me for lunch. Where shall we do dinner then? I'd suggest Golden Temple but I think a bunch of you went there recently so I'm not sure if you want to go again. (If it wasn't out of the way from where we want to be, I'd suggest this place for lunch and Bolhoed for dinner, but while it's not actually far out from the center, it's too much of a detour from the main places we probably want to hit.)

Does anyone want to swap numbers with me? I'm scared I'll show up at the wrong place or lose everyone!

Aw, that's really very sweet of you but I would rather walk, I just need to sit down for short periods sometimes (depending on how I am on the day, which isn't really predictable). I don't think it's a situation that warrants lugging a chair around.

Amsterdam has pretty darn good public transport, so depending on where we decide to go, we can cut out a bunch of walking by hopping on a tram. We could stop by the GVB office in front of Central Station and get OV (public transport) day passes. Last I checked they were something like 7.50 EU (the hourly pass is 2.70).
Paloma, I hope you can come for at least some of the day!

FYI If you do decide to go to Cigkoftem, beware the one dish that has meat in it! I almost ordered it, but luckily the guy asked me if I knew it had real meat in it. I forget the name, but it was some kind of stuffed breaded ball.
