So I'm a big thrift store/op shop addict. My sister is currently in NYC (Greenwich Village). Can anyone recommend really good thrift stores around there that aren't too pricey (for thrift stores)?

Ditto for San Francisco. She will be staying near Chinatown if that means something (unless there are fifty Chinatowns, I just looked up google maps).

I always drool over the thrift store finds of American bloggers, now it's my turn!

Okay so if you're reading this, scrap NYC cos my sister is on her way to San Francisco now, after having fallen in love with NY.

I think your best bets are usually outside the main city for anything affordable in a big city like NYC or SF, maybe street fairs if she can find them, my sister used to set up shop selling second hand clothing during the summers doing that on the lower east side at fairs...good luck to your sister! : )
