Rotterdam (NL) cupcake corner!

Guys, a vegan patisserie is opening in Rotterdam on the 12/13th of October. I'm pretty sure we should schedule a meet-up there and let them know how happy we are they exist (and could they please open branches closer to where the rest of us live).

lepelaar needs some time to arrange a weekend gathering, so what are everyone's votes?

Mine is for cupcakes, Chinese & vegans.
Also, October 27-28 are not good for me.

Don't schedule around me, but if you do pick a date, I'll see if I can get someone to work for me. That said, it's harder to get days off towards the end of the year, and we're stretched really thin as far as staff is concerned, so I may have to get vicarious vegan thrills hearing about you guys meeting up, and then go sometime on my own. (There's an exhibit at the Boymans that I want to see, so a trip to R'dam is in the works anyway.)

I'm going to be in BErlin from the 13th to the 19th, so those weekends are out for me I'm afraid!

For me, that's easiest. Otherwise, I'd vote for opening day so we can Represent^tm.

10 or 11th of november sounds good to me and you can sleepover afterwards :)

Nov 10th or 11th works for me. If you guys are okay with it I'll try to lure my partner out of his hiding place too. Cupcakes and Chinese food might just do the trick :-)

You're so sweet! It's tempting, but I'm afraid it would be too difficult to coordinate. I'll be happy with pictures and descriptions!

They have a facebook page (Heavenly Cupcakes Rotterdam; also http://www.heavenlycupcakesrotterdam.nl/) which says they're not actually opening this weekend. Shall we wait a bit for them to be officially opened and with hours posted on their website before we set anything in stone? ("Stone".) And yes! Obviously. The more the merrier.

So excited about this! We might be going away the weekend of the 23rd-25th for my birthday, so hopefully they will be open in time to go before that.

Sadface! The cupcake shop just posted pictures of their 2 new house cats. No more cupcake visits for me. I hope the rest of you make it (*whenever they officially open shop, etc.) and can tell us how amazing it was.

I saw the kitty posts on facebook too, but I got the sense that the kitties were at their home, not in the shop. You should check which it is before depriving yourself of cupcakes and PPKers!

News:

1) No cats in the shop! Huzzah!
2) Shop keeper is thrilled that so many of us are thrilled.
3) Shop keeper also said that they're running into a lot of problems and don't yet know for sure when they'll open; maybe end of November, maybe later.
