and need a place to crash tomorrow (sunday) night, and somewhere to potentially hang out during the day.

can anyone help us out? we're staying at a hotel tonight but really don't want to stay here another night ($$, yknow). our car had some trouble and is in a shop until monday. we're in rialto/fontana or something without transportation so something close to here would be ideal. unless you're down to pick us up and bring us back out here on monday... which is kind of far fetched.

ps. our checkout is at 11 am.
pps. we'll get you drunk.
ppps. if you can help, text (or call if necessary) 3144561761

thanks!

love,

lauren

I'm so, so sorry. I'd totally rescue you if I still lived down there.

I'm fairly boring, but sure.

And Jesus, Fontana. At least you might be interested to know that you're very near the birthplace of McDonalds and the Hell's Angels. Also, the San Bernardino area has three times the drug use of the national average, meth in particular. Fun times. Also, once you get underway, assuming you're proceeding west, you'll soon be near the inspiration of several Mountain Goats songs as you pass through Pomona and Claremont. Sorry, that's not much help.

What route are you planning to take once you get moving again?

If you must. It's a lot faster, but dead boring. If you have the time, the 101 is much nicer. When I moved here, I did the 101 until I got to around Salem, took about two and a half days starting not far from where you're at now. If you've never seen the California Redwoods, it's totally worth it.

oy vey! fontana! not an awesome place to get stuck! i've made the drive from san diego to olympia/ oly to sd 8 times and even though the 5 is boring as hell its much faster than anything else. plus, you might get a ticket in a fun place like yreka!
