Chaos in Tejas sounds awesome! Well my fave parts were meeting you guys and having amazing food seriously amazing. Best food outside your company was definitely dinner at Uchi. I would go back and get like 3 of the Bond rolls, aaaamazing. And the hydroponic romaine salad was incred. Aside from food, I really liked just walking around downtown; that's how I like to learn a new city. But I had very little time so I must return. :)

Pictures!! CTates check out their queso at Whole Foods - almost sold out! 'Large Vegan Donut'. To say the least. Magic queso. Hydroponic romaine salad w/ edamame-jalapeno puree at Uchi. SOO GOOD. Seaweeds salad at Uchi. Wheatsville popcorn tofu po' boy. Terrible picture of a delicioussss sandwich. I have a weird thumb. The freaking BEST milkshakes in the entire world, Toy Joy. Just looking at the picture man alive I can taste the mint cookie. :( want. My favorite picture

I liked the Whole Foods one! But maybe that's because it was my 2nd vegan donut ever. Ever. In like 5 years.

For healthyrunner: It depends a little on your definition of hot. October to April is generally not very hot. I think May, June, and September are usually bearable, but if 90 degrees will make you wilt, I'd stay away those months, too. This June has been hotter than usual. The high this week is around 100 all week long, but we usually don't hit that until July and August.

I'm back in Austin! Going to be here for about one week, depending on when my ride decides to leave. I stayed at the house of the folks I am told were doing the Toy Joy milkshakes, and that they are in the process of opening their own ice cream shop, and because of the transition there aren't any milkshakes right now. I hope this is not true. The place I'm crashing at now is right next to Toy Joy, so perhaps I shall investigate tomorrow.

Their veggie burger is amazing (especially the ciabatta they use) but while I was there I munched on that tofu chorizo breakfast taco every time... their tofu scramble is like crack... nutritional yeast covered crack... Tell the owner Leslie hi if any of you guys make it over there... she's definitely a bad-ass!!!!
