Magnets: They forking work because unpaired electrons spinning in the same direction create lines of magnetic domains.
I've been spending a lot more time in Detroit lately (at least once a week) and was wondering if anyone had advice on where to eat lunch. I've been relying on La Pita near the Wayne State campus for their mujadara wraps for quick food, but it's getting a little repetitive.

I go to La Pita every Tuesday and Thursday!
You can also hit up Avalon Bakery on Willis for some vegan sandwiches, fair trade coffee, and cookies/muffins. Or the health food store right next to it, which always serves vegan soups, salads, sandwich options.
There is a Taco Bell inside of the student center, not great food of course but it does the job.
Slow's BBQ in Corktown- order The Genius, specify that you'd like it vegan. (Like a BBQ soy chicken sandwich.)
Drive to Dearborn and get some vegan chinese food from Red Star if you haven't gone yet! Get a double combination plate with Almond "Chick'n" and General Tao's "Chick'n." Yummmm.
Cass Cafe is supposed to have a couple of vegan options but I haven't gone there yet.
When I googled I also found some sort of pub... Woodbridge Pub, sounds like it has some nice vegan food.
I think there's a Blue Nile in Detroit, yum Ethiopian food.
And that's all I've got!

Sweet! Thank you. My class is on Wednesdays, which is the same day as the farmers market and there's always a vegan soup/chili option.
I'm far less familiar with Dearborn, but, wow, I am so going to Red Star!
Ha! The filters are getting to me because I "translated" Corktown and was very confused.

I've been meaning to check out the farmer's market but my classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But now that I've quit my job I may start going other days for counseling and to use the fitness center. What do you think of the farmer's market? What are you going to school for? (If you don't mind me asking, of course)

I'm there for Library Science. The market's pretty good, but there's one stand that has a lot of Asian veggies (bok choy, gai lan, lemongrass, etc.) which gets me really excited.
Aw, another meet up would be great. I've tried the Ann Arbor area veggie meet up groups, but Ryan always tells me the PPK one we went to at Seva was still the best. I'm inclined to agree with him.
