I'm a musician and I'm in the process of booking a tour. I'd like to court venues and promoters with some baked goods (set yourself apart right? Who wants another EPK and set of pens and coffee mugs with your bands logo on it?) that will last long enough for me to overnight them. I'd like them to be vegetarian or vegan if possible too. Anyone have any suggestions? Anything would help!
What about ordering from a vegan bakery? I know Vegan Treats ships, and we ship baked goods for Capital City Bakery (click here). Cinnaholic, Allison's Gourmet, Lagusta's Luscious?? There are plenty of them out there to choose from...
I think this is an awesome idea. Also, I would eat it. Like not if it got delivered to my house - but if it got delivered to my music venue, was clearly from the band that I was already in contact with. I would include ingredient list - in case of allergy. And creativity - especially in an artist - is always a good idea.
If they know you or know of you, it might be okay to make your own goodies to send but I'd err on the side of caution and send something 3rd party through Allisons, Capital CIty Bakery, Lagusta's, or Cinnaholic as mentioned above. We use Allison's for our annual client gifts and they are always very well received. It might also be cool to send cookies in the shape of an instrument relative to the music type that you play.
Thanks for the ideas guys. I thought some people might be wary of eating things sent to them but I didn't realized so many people had the "Schrute Complex" where they have the expectation that people are trying to poison them for some non-existent reason hah
