So very cute! I really need to take some time and learn to sew.

Still crocheting! But now I'm intrigued by felting. Anyone have experience needle felting with bamboo? I've found only a couple tries online.

I used my new serger for a real project for the first time this weekend! I used the wide-set safety stitch to hem a pair of leggings and to install the elastic waistband. It looks pretty professional for my first go-around! I'm so in love, I can't believe I can make knit hems now. <3 <3 <3

I wasn't sure if I should put this here or in The Workshop, but I finally decided to open up an Etsy shop (people have been suggesting it to me for a long time, and it took me months to work up the nerve to open it up...the process intimidated me for some reason!) So if you're interested in seeing some of my projects, I'm at

I'm wondering if you are willing/able to do any custom pieces? My husband kept stealing my "it's too forking cold" hat last winter and I'd like to give him his own. Let me know!

Thanks so much everyone, I really appreciate your kind words! Now I have to figure out how to market myself better so I can make a couple bucks here and there.

Oddspongeout, your comment made me laugh :)

Moon, I'd definitely consider it for you! I don't always feel mentally up for commissions because sometimes it's hard enough for me to commit to finishing pieces I've already started. So my answer for you is that it's probably not something I can work on right now, but think about colors/ask me again in another month or so and I might have a different answer :)

Whoops, totally meant to PM that to you!

Ok, thanks! The colours would be "whatever you want, he doesn't care", and I will try back in a little while :) I totally understand not wanting to accept when you've got a lot on the go!

I can vouch that Sweet Potato's wonderful things are even nicer than they look in photos. I have her amazing teal cable snake fingerless gloves, so I don't freeze in my classroom. I keep them in my locked drawer so nobody steals them! Her craftsmanship is beautiful.

Lavawitch, you have no idea how much that means to me. I love hearing that you love and get good use out of them! That's one of the greatest compliments I could receive, that something I've done means something to someone long after I've made it. There's more I'd want to say and I can't really articulate it, but thank you <3

awwwww!! ppk craft love! i love it!

I want to make these: http://www.boredpanda.com/dragon-gloves-mareshop/
I know I could reverse engineer them with a bit of practice. I feel bad looking at someone's pattern and making it up on my own, but I'd never sell them or anything. I'm always happy to pay for a pattern, but it doesn't look like they're selling that, just the actual gloves.

Why have I never been to this discussion? Such beautiful creations everyone.

I really just crochet blankets, off and on. I just finished a baby blanket for my new grand-nephew. Today I started a long promised blanket for my niece, in a rainbow Catherine stitch.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a fairly simple crocheted warm winter hat? I know there are lots of patterns out there and I tried some last winter. I want something cozy and straightforward to make hats for my local drop in centre.
