I'm getting married pretty soon and I'm trying to think of a nice gift to give my two bridesmaids and maid of honor. Our wedding is super DIY so I wanted to make their gifts as well. Since my bridal party has pretty divergent tastes (but everyone does like to eat/cook/drink) I was going to prepare a basket of homemade vegan bottled goodies such as vanilla extract (already made this), limoncello, some kind of fruit preserves, flavored balsamic vinegar, chocolate truffles, and a flavored olive oil (this will be store-bought so I don't give everyone botulism!).
I guess I'm looking for confirmation that this is a reasonable gift to give. In my very limited googling it seems like bridesmaids gifts include lots of spa items, jewelry, or clothing. That's not really my thing so I'm sort of lost. I'd also love suggestions for other homemade edibles or crafty items that you've made, received, or just think are cool. I do knit and sew, but I don't have a ton of time in the coming month so I can't do anything time-intensive. This board is full of crafty and thoughtful folks, so I figured this would be the best place to ask! Thanks a bunch!

Sounds good to me. The only wedding I have been in was my sister's and I would have thought it weird if she gave me clothing or something.

I think that sounds AWESOME. Like what you would want to get at a wedding vs some crappy key chain with "a night to remember!" engraved on it.

I would be really excited to receive such thoughtful, handmade gifts. Not to mention how useful all of those things are, no offense intended to the bride of the one wedding I stood up in, but I don't even think I still have that chain necklace with the first letter of my name on it...
